Zoom Phone users can enable the click-to-dial feature to automatically dial a number by clicking on the phone number. Click-to-dial works on applications that support hyperlinks, like browsers, email/calendar clients, and Microsoft Office. These links must be tagged with the callto, tel, or zoomphone link type for click-to-dial to work.
Important:
If you have a Zoom Contact Center and Zoom Phone license, the click-to-dial feature will use the dialer depending on the ClickToCallDefault registry item, which is set to Zoom Phone by default. Learn more about auto update policies for Windows and macOS.
If you have a company-issued device with MDM (mobile device management) installed, the MDM software can change the default app used for click-to-dial. If you experience issues with the default app reverting from Zoom to another app, contact your IT admin.
