Enabling or disabling call me and invite by phone

Account owners and admins can enable or disable the ability for hosts and participants to join the meeting/webinar audio by phone (call me) or invite others by telephone (call out).

After enabling, the host and participants can join the meeting audio by entering their phone numbers. The host can also use this feature to invite others to join the meeting by entering their phone numbers.

Requirements for enabling or disabling call me and invite by phone

Note: Call-out countries/regions are not affected by the account's selected data centers.

How to enable or disable the call me and call out features

Account

To enable Call Me and Invite by Phone for all users in the account:

  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal as an owner or admin with the privilege to edit account settings.
  2. In the navigation menu, click Account Management then Account Settings.
  3. Click the Audio Conferencing tab.
  4. Click the Call Me and Invite by Phone toggle to enable or disable it.
  5. If a verification dialog appears, click Enable or Disable to verify the change.
  6. Under Require Call Me users to press 1 before being connected to the meeting?, select one of the following options: Auto, Always, or Never.
  7. Under Call Out Countries/Regions, click the pencil icon .
  8. In the Select Call Out Countries/Regions pop-up window, select the desired countries, then click Save.
  9. If your host has a webinar license and would like their attendees to use Call Me to connect their audio, select the check box next to Allow webinar attendees to use Call Me to connect audio.
    Note: Zoom client version 5.2.2 and above is required for this feature to work for webinars.
  10. (Optional) If you want to make this setting mandatory for all users in your account, click the lock icon , and then click Lock to confirm the setting.

Group

  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal as an owner or admin with the privilege to edit account settings.
  2. In the navigation menu, click User Management then Groups.
  3. Click the applicable group name from the list, then click the Audio Conferencing tab.
  4. Click the Call Me and Invite by Phone toggle to enable or disable it.
  5. If a verification dialog appears, click Enable or Disable to verify the change.
    Note: If the option is grayed out, it has been locked at the account level and needs to be changed at that level.
  6. Under Require Call Me users to press 1 before being connected to the meeting?, select one of the following options: Auto, Always, or Never.
  7. Under Call Out Countries/Regions, click the pencil icon .
  8. In the Select Call Out Countries/Regions pop-up window, select the desired countries, then click Save.
  9. If your host has a webinar license and would like their attendees to use Call Me to connect their audio, select the check box next to Allow webinar attendees to use Call Me to connect audio.

Note: While you can view this setting at the user level, only IT admins can make changes for this setting.

  3. Click the Audio Conferencing tab.
  4. Verify Call Me and Invite by Phone is enabled.
