Passing host controls to leave the meeting

As the host, you can assign host controls to another participant and leave the meeting, allowing the meeting to continue without you.

The meeting duration after host reassignment is determined by the original host's license type:

If the original host has a paid Zoom Workplace license, the meeting can continue for up to 30 hours, regardless of the new host's licensing and permissions.
If the original host is a Basic (free) user, the meeting will be limited to 40 minutes, regardless of the new host's licensing and permissions.

Windows | macOS | Linux

Sign in to the Zoom desktop app.
Start a meeting as the host and have at least one participant join you.
In the meeting controls toolbar, click End.
Click Leave meeting.
Assign another participant to be the new host, then click Assign and leave.

Web App

Sign in to the Zoom Web App.
Start a meeting as the host and have at least one participant join you.
In the meeting controls toolbar, click End.
Click Leave Meeting.
Assign another participant to be the new host, then click Assign and Leave.

Android | iOS

Sign in to the Zoom mobile app.
Start a meeting as the host and have at least one participant join you.
In the meeting controls toolbar, tap End.
Tap Leave meeting.
Assign another participant to be the new host, then tap Assign and leave.
