Transferring PMI or vanity URL from a Basic account

If you have recently switched Zoom accounts and want to use your previous account's Personal Meeting ID (PMI) and/or personal vanity URL, but cannot change the old account's PMI and vanity URL due to it being a Basic account, follow the steps below.

Note: Your new Zoom account must have a Pro subscription plan and be an owner or an admin on the account.

How to transfer a PMI or URL from a Basic account

  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal as an admin with the privilege to edit account settings.
  2. In the navigation menu, click User Management then User.
  3. Add the old Zoom account as a user.
    Note: You must accept the invitation sent to the old email address.
  4. Temporarily change your new account to Basic, and your old account to Pro.
  5. Sign out of the new account.
  6. Sign back in to the old account.
  7. Change the PMI and vanity URL.
  8. Sign out of the old account.
  9. Sign back in to the new account.
  10. Switch the Pro subscription back to the new account.
  11. Change the PMI and vanity URL on the new account.
