Adding Zoom features to Salesforce layouts (Zoom for Salesforce app)


 

You can customize your Salesforce objects to include Zoom features. Currently, Zoom supports the following page layouts:

Accounts using this Zoom for Salesforce app can begin migrating to the new Zoom for Salesforce Lightning app, which will be supported long-term and supports additional Zoom products, including Zoom Meetings, Zoom Webinars, Zoom Phone, Zoom Contact Center, and Zoom Events.

How to add the Start Zoom Meeting quick action button

Administrators can add the Start Zoom Meeting quick action button to Salesforce layouts.

  1. Sign in to Salesforce as an administrator.
  2. Access the respective page layouts: contact, lead, event, and case objects.
  3. Click Service Setup
  4. Click User Interface
  5. Click Objects and Fields.
  6. Click Object Manager.
  7. Choose one of the layout options: contact, lead, event, and case objects.
  8. Click Page Layouts.
  9. Click the dropdown next to the layout and click Edit.
  10. Click Buttons and move the Start Zoom Meeting to the layout.
  11. Click Quick Actions and move the Start Zoom Meeting to the layout.
  12. Click Save.

How to add Zoom meeting features to events page layout

You customize the event page layout to make these Zoom meeting features available to users in Salesforce:

Add Start Zoom Meeting quick action button

  1. Log in to your Salesforce account.
  2. Click Service Setup.
  3. Click User Interface.
  4. Click Objects and Fields.
  5. Click Object Manager.
  6. Click Event and select Page Layouts.
  7. Click the dropdown next to the layout then click Edit.
  8. Click Buttons.
  9. Move the Start Zoom Meeting to the layout.
  10. Click Quick Actions.
  11. Move the Start Zoom Meeting to the layout.
  12. Click Save.

Add Zoom meeting information section

  1. Create a new section.
  2. Name the section Zoom Meeting Information and add the following fields:
    • Use Personal Meeting ID
    • Enable Join Before Host
    • Schedule a Zoom Meeting
    • Enter Email Address of Attendees
    • To use Timezone for the event, add these fields:
      • Customer Timezone
      • Customer Start Time
      • Customer Meeting Duration
  3. Click Save.

Add Zoom meeting details section

  1. Create a new section named Zoom Meeting Details.
  2. Add ZoomEventDetails from Visualforce Pages to this section.
  3. Configure the height to at least 400 and click Ok.
  4. Click Save.

Note: If your system admin has assigned 2 record types, you need to set the Default Record Type to one of the assigned. To do this, navigate to Object Settings then Events.
