Using Atlassian Jira and Service Desk app


Zoom’s Atlassian Jira and Service Desk integration allows you to quickly start or schedule a Zoom meeting from a Jira, a Jira Service Desk ticket, and other Jira platforms. This integration also allows you to receive a meeting summary after the meeting ends.

How to install the Atlassian Jira integration app from Zoom Marketplace

  1. Sign in to the Zoom App Marketplace with your Zoom account.
  2. In the top right of your screen, enter Atlassian Jira and Service Desk in the search box.
  3. In your search results, find the Atlassian Jira and Service Desk app and click it.
    Note: If this app is not pre-approved, please contact your Zoom admin to approve the app for your account.
  4. Click Visit Site to Install.
    You will be redirected to the Atlassian Marketplace website.
  5. Sign in to your account and follow the directions to install.
    The Atlassian Jira and Service Desk app will be enabled.

How to install the Atlassian Jira app from Atlassian Marketplace

  1. Sign in to the Atlassian Marketplace with your Atlassian account.
  2. In the search bar, enter Zoom for Jira & Service Desk.
  3. Find the Zoom for Jira & Service Desk app in your search results and click it.
  4. Click Get it now, then choose your server type.
    Note: You must be the administrator of your Atlassian Cloud site to install it.
    The Zoom integration app for Atlassian Jira and Service Desk will be installed.

How to use the Atlassian Jira and Service Desk integration

Start a meeting from Atlassian Jira and Service Desk

  1. Open your desired ticket.
  2. On the right navigation menu, find Zoom Meetings.
  3. Click Start Meeting.
  4. Click the join link to launch the Zoom meeting.
    Other users on the ticket will also be able to join the meeting or you can Copy and distribute the link.

Once the meeting ends, a meeting summary and recording (if applicable) will be displayed in the timeline.

Schedule a meeting from Atlassian Jira and Service Desk

  1. Open your desired ticket.
  2. On the right navigation menu, find Zoom Meetings.
  3. Click Schedule Meeting.
  4. Specify the Meeting topic, Start time, Timezone, and Duration.
    The meeting details will appear on the sidebar underneath Zoom.

Once the meeting starts and finishes, a meeting summary and recording (if applicable) will be displayed in the timeline.

Cancel a meeting in Atlassian Jira and Service Desk

  1. Open your desired ticket.
  2. On the right navigation menu, find Zoom Meetings.
  3. Find the meeting that you want to cancel.
  4. Under the meeting time, click Cancel.

How to remove the Atlassian Jira and Service Desk app

  1. Sign in to the Zoom App Marketplace with your Zoom account.
  2. In the top right of the page, click Manage.
  3. In the navigation menu, click Added Apps.
  4. Next to the Atlassian Jira & Service Desk app, click Remove.
  5. In the dialogue box, click Remove to confirm.
