Validating a digital signature
Invoices for customers from India are digitally signed to confirm the validity of the invoice. You should see a message “Signature Valid” and a green checkmark in your invoice.

If you are seeing the message "Signature Not Valid" and a yellow question mark, try the following steps to validate the invoice:
- Download the invoice.
- After downloading the invoice, open the invoice in Adobe Acrobat Reader.
You should see the Signature Valid message and a green checkmark to confirm the validation of the digital signature. - If you are still unable to see the Signature Valid message, please update your Adobe settings:
- In Adobe Acrobat reader, open Menu, then Preferences, then Signatures, then Verification, then More.
- Uncheck the box Require certificate revocation checking to succeed whenever possible during signature verification.
- Click on OK and then again on OK.
The setting should be updated now. - Once the settings are updated, you should see the Signature Valid message and a green checkmark to confirm the validation of the digital signature. If not, try to click on the signature to validate it again.
Note: Applications such as Apple’s Preview or PDF viewers built in to your web browser cannot be used to validate a signature.
