New and enhanced features
- Admin features
- Expansion of Whiteboard analytics dashboard to all regions
The Whiteboard analytics dashboard is now accessible in all regions, eliminating the previous restriction limited to the US region. - Ability to open a whiteboard in view-only mode
Admins with Whiteboard Content permission can now open whiteboards from the Whiteboard Management page in a view-only mode. This allows admins to quickly and easily view the contents of a whiteboard without the need to export it as a PDF. In addition, an entry is added to the Operation log, recording the activity that the admin opened and viewed the whiteboard.
- User features
- Support for iFrame widget/control in Whiteboard
An iFrame widget/control in Whiteboard has been added, allowing users to embed live third-party applications such as YouTube, Vimeo, MSFT BI, or Looker Dashboards directly into the canvas. This enhancement provides additional content mediums to enable additional rich and varied content. - Enhancements to Whiteboard retention policy
New options are added to the retention policy setting for Whiteboard to give customers greater flexibility in defining their retention time periods. In addition to the existing option of identifying boards with no activity for defined thresholds, users can choose to delete whiteboards based on their creation date and modified date. Users can select retention periods ranging from 30 days to 2–7 years. To help users keep track of their boards, a reminder will trigger 15 days before a board is moved to the trash.
- Ability to favorite a template
Users can mark templates as favorites, simplifying access to frequently used templates. The Favorite tab on the template dashboard has been added to enable users locating their preferred templates easily. This feature applies to templates on a global, personal, or organizational level. - Enhancements to commenting feature
Several enhancements have been applied to the commenting feature in Whiteboard, enabling users to maximize productivity and ease of use. The enhancements include enabling the option to insert hyperlinks in comments, updating the keyboard shortcuts for better usability, keeping the data while drafting the comment, and more. - Ability to import text or CSV file as sticky notes
Users have the ability to directly upload a .txt or CSV file to Whiteboard, where it will be automatically converted into sticky notes. This feature streamlines the process of transitioning content from the document editing tool to the Whiteboard canvas. - Integrate Zoom Whiteboard with Google Drive
Users can connect their Google Drive account to the Whiteboard and easily access and share files directly from their Google Drive within the Whiteboard. With this integration, users can choose files and add them to the canvas, allowing for collaborative annotation and discussion. This feature enhances the usability and productivity of the Whiteboard by providing seamless access to relevant documents from Google Drive.
