Zoom Phone Appliances
New or enhanced featureEnhancements to conference call managementUsers on Zoom Phone Appliances benefit from three improvements to conference call management. When merging two conferences, the user who initiates the merge retains host ownership of the resulting conference, regardless of which conference is merged into which. Active conferences are displayed with sequential numeric labels — such as Conference 1 or Conference 2 — based on the count of active conferences within the account, with the same label shown to all participants. Additionally, users acting as assistants in a Shared Line Appearance (SLA) configuration can merge calls across both boss and assistant lines, with full conference host privileges available to both the boss and the assistant.Zoom Phone Appliances

New, enhanced, and changed features

TypeFeature titleDescriptionPlatforms
Admin features
New or enhanced featureVideo call option on Zoom Phone AppliancesAccount owners and admins can enable the Allow Video Calling from Keypad Number searches option at the account, group, and device level to surface a Video Call option in the Zoom Phone Appliance phone interface. When enabled, users searching for contacts from the dial pad can choose between placing a voice call or initiating a Zoom Meeting session directly from the same interface. Selecting the Video Call option launches a Zoom Meeting rather than a standard Zoom Phone call, and no phone features are available during the video session. The setting also expands search results to include contacts who have a Zoom Meetings license but no Zoom Phone license, making those users discoverable for video calls. When the setting is disabled, the Video Call option is hidden, and search behavior remains unchanged.Web portal
Zoom Phone Appliances
New or enhanced featureEnhancements to ringtone options and mass provisioning for Zoom Phone AppliancesAccount owners and admins can assign ringtone settings to Zoom Phone Appliances at the account, group, and device level through Zoom Device Management, supporting large-scale deployments without manual per-device configuration. Four new professional ringtones, Classic office, London ring, Retro landline, and Tokyo two-tone, are available on Zoom Phone Appliances, matching the expanded catalog available in Zoom Phone. Newly deployed Zoom Phone Appliances automatically receive the configured ringtone settings through the provisioning workflow. Policy-based configurations applied through Zoom Device Management take precedence over individual device-level changes, giving admins consistent control across sites, departments, and front-office environments.Web portal
Zoom Phone Appliances
New or enhanced featureEnhancements to Poly CCX expansion module supportUsers with Poly CCX 505, 600, and 700 Zoom Phone Appliances can use the Poly EM60 expansion module to access additional programmable keys directly from their device. Supported key types include Speed Dial, Busy Lamp Field, Shared Line Group, Shared Line Appearance, Call Queue group extensions, Paging extensions, and Intercom extensions. Call Park functionality is also supported, including the ability to aim a call park and re-park calls to the same Call Park extension. Keys on the EM60 can be arranged to match user preferences and deployment needs.Zoom Phone Appliances
New or enhanced featureEnhancements to hot desking session timeout configurationAccount owners and admins can set a Hot Desking Session Inactivity Timer, configurable in hours or days, that automatically signs a user out of a shared Zoom Phone Appliance when no phone activity is detected for the configured duration. To support extended guest-office use cases, the Hot Desking Session Timeout is also extended to support day-based values, with options ranging from 2 to 7, 14, and 30 days available alongside existing hour-based settings. The system enforces a validation rule requiring the Inactivity Timer to be strictly less than the Session Timeout, preventing misconfiguration. These new day-based options are available in all locations where the time period can be selected, including account, group, and device levels. End users experience no change to the sign-in or sign-out flow.Zoom Phone Appliances
New or enhanced featureEnhancements to auto-dialing on Zoom Phone Appliance using configurable dial patterns and terminatorsAccount owners and admins can define dial patterns in the Zoom web portal that allow Zoom Phone Appliances to automatically place calls as soon as a recognized digit sequence is complete, removing the need for users to press a call button or wait out the full inter-digit timeout. Patterns support pause semantics (for example, four digits followed by a two-second pause) and can cover internal extensions, local and long-distance external numbers, international numbers, and service codes such as 911, giving admins fine-grained control across multiple sites and regions worldwide. Optionally, admins can enable `#` as a dial terminator so users can force immediate call placement at any point. Before deploying, admins can test any number against the active dial plan using the built-in tester, which returns the matched pattern category and the expected dialing action. Dial plans can be applied across the entire account or targeted to specific groups or devices. This feature is disabled by default and must be enabled at the account level.Web portal
Zoom Phone Appliances
New or enhanced featureEnhancements to alert emails with MAC address for Zoom Phone Appliance identificationAccount owners and admins can see the MAC address of the affected device directly in Zoom Phone Appliance alert emails generated by Zoom Device Management. The MAC address appears as a dedicated field labeled MAC address in the email body, displayed in a human-readable, untruncated format alongside the existing device name. This applies to alert-type emails such as Reconnection to Zoom Device Management notifications. In environments where multiple appliances share the same model name, the MAC address provides a unique hardware identifier that admins can use to locate and act on the correct device without additional lookup.Web portal
Zoom Phone Appliances
New or enhanced featureEnhancements to add and merge call in Call ControlUsers who manage desk phone calls through the Zoom Workplace desktop app's Call Control feature can use the Add and Merge options without changing their Call Control settings or redialing. When a user initiates a second call with Add Call, the Merge control appears once both calls are in an eligible state, enabling the calls to be combined. These controls follow the same availability rules and placement as the standard in-call experience when Call Control is not in use. No new admin configuration is required; the feature is governed by the existing Call Control enable/disable admin setting.Web portal
Zoom Phone Appliances
New or enhanced featureAdmin control over presence status changes from device inactivityAccount owners and admins can disable the automatic transition of a user's presence to Away that occurs after 15 minutes of inactivity on a Zoom Phone Appliance. The Disable Automatic Away Status on Zoom Phone Appliance setting is configurable at the account, group, and per-device level and is disabled by default. When disabled, an idle Zoom Phone Appliance does not affect the signed-in user's presence status, so users remain shown as available even after extended periods without interacting with the device. Users can still set or clear their Away status manually using the phone's controls. This configuration is intended for branch and front-office environments where presence is used to inform call-transfer decisions and desk phones may be idle without indicating the user is unavailable.Web portal

Voicemail features
New or enhanced featureEnhancements to voicemail waiting LED reliability on Zoom Phone ApplianceUsers on Zoom Phone Appliance devices see the voicemail waiting LED illuminate whenever a new voicemail arrives, regardless of which screen is currently displayed on the device. Previously, the LED did not activate when a new voicemail was received while the user was already on the voicemail screen. The voicemail waiting indicator is driven by voicemail state rather than the active UI view, aligning with standard desk phone behavior. This applies consistently across all screens, including the voicemail tab.Zoom Phone Appliances
Zoom Phone Appliances
New or enhanced featurePoly Lens data collection default opt-out for Poly CCX devicesAccount owners and admins can control whether Poly CCX devices send data to the HP (Poly) Lens cloud management application using a new setting in Zoom Device Management, configurable at the account, group, and device level. All Poly CCX Zoom Phone Appliances default to opted out. The default opted-out configuration is automatically applied to all existing Poly CCX devices and to any new devices added, including those provisioned through zero-touch provisioning.Web portal

New or enhanced featureEnhancements to Microsoft and phone number sign-in persistence across rebootsUsers who sign in to a Zoom Phone Appliance using Microsoft or phone number authentication are no longer signed out when the device reboots. Previously, both sign-in methods failed to persist session credentials across a restart, requiring users to re-authenticate each time. With this change, the sign-in state is retained after a reboot, allowing users to return to an active session without interruption. This applies to Microsoft authentication via microsoft.com/devicelogin and phone number-based web sign-in.Zoom Phone Appliances
