- Support for backstage experience for SIP/H.323 panelists in webinars
SIP/H.323 panelists joining webinars can utilize the backstage experience. They are placed in the backstage lobby upon joining, where they can see the video feed if the webinar is active, or the 'off air' UI if not. Other backstage participants are visible at the bottom. Hosts can move them from their clients into the webinar, allowing the SIP/H.323 devices are required to join as a regular panelist. This provides a more seamless backstage experience for panelists using SIP/H.323 devices.

Changes to existing features
- Improved UI for DTMF and SIP Dial Commands configuration
Administrators can now configure multiple H.323/SIP Room Connector configuration settings, such as music mode, video sharing mode and audio level, via individual toggle switches in the admin portal instead of manually entering DTMF Commands in the configuration page. In addition, if these settings had previously been enabled with manually entered DTMF Commands, the corresponding new toggle switches will be enabled automatically. - Remove participants with co-host privileges as host
Hosts joining meetings or webinars via SIP/H.323 room systems can now remove participants that have co-host privileges from the DTMF menu.

- Support for multiple simultaneous screen sharing
If the meeting host has enabled the Multiple participants can share simultaneously feature, and multiple meeting participants begin to share their screens simultaneously, SIP/H.323 room systems will always view the most recently initiated share by default. The SIP/H.323 room system may swap to a different participant's screen share from the DTMF menu. - Updated notification icon when a meeting participant is using NDI to livestream a meeting

- The meeting join announcement is no longer played when using CRC to SIP out-dial to 3rd party meeting services
The "you are in the meeting now" announcement is no longer played upon connection when Zoom Rooms or Zoom user apps use Zoom CRC to SIP out-dial to 3rd-party meeting services such as Cisco Webex, GoToMeeting InRoom Link, HP/Poly RealConnect CVI or Pexip CVI.

If the meeting host has enabled the meeting co-host feature, hosts joining meetings or webinars via SIP/H.323 room systems can grant individual participants the co-host privilege from the DTMF menu.

Users joining Zoom meetings via SIP/H.323 devices will have their video turned on by default, regardless of the meeting host's participant video settings. - Improved host assignment for CRC participants
Users joining Zoom meetings via SIP/H.323 devices through Cloud Room Connector (CRC) can be identified as hosts, co-hosts, or guests based on whether they entered the host key or used an identifier code. CRC sends this role information to the meeting, allowing the proper participant role to be assigned. If the host unexpectedly leaves, CRC participants identified as hosts or co-hosts can be automatically assigned as the new host. This ensures meetings can continue smoothly even if the original host disconnects.

Administrators can establish the default video layout for managed SIP/H.323 devices during both internal and external meetings, either at the device or account level. In addition, supplementary dial strings have been added to enable additional video layouts when connecting to a Zoom Meeting.

Hosts joining meetings or webinars via SIP/H.323 room systems can mute or request to unmute individual participants as well as remove participants from the DTMF menu.

When attempting to join a Zoom for Government (ZfG) meeting via the Commercial CRC gateway, participants will be presented with instructions on how to join via the ZfG CRC gateway instead.

Note: As of this release, the SIP Video Interop for Meetings (SVIM) feature will no longer support connecting to a Zoom meeting with the H.323 protocol. Customers that have purchased a CRC subscription will not be affected, and may still use the H.323 protocol to connect to Zoom meetings.

The recording disclaimer has been updated to provide clearer information regarding how their data is being handled and who can access it when utilizing Smart recordings. - Bypass BFCP/H.239 for screen sharing
Participants joining from an SIP/H.323 device utilizing a single display, can now add a dial string that forces screen sharing and far-end participant video to utilize separate streaming channels, even if BFCP or H.239 has been negotiated when dialing in. This allows participants to be able to view screen share content and active participants to be displayed together on a single display. - Support for modifying Active view layout
When using Active view, participants can now select whether the thumbnail view will be at the top or bottom of the screen. - Updated UI for the Participants list
The Participants list UI has been updated including updated UI text and displaying the Guest designation for participants who are not signed in to a Zoom account or is signed with an email address that is not in the same account as the host.

- Support for viewing pronouns
If enabled by account admins and added to their profile by either the user directly or through SAML mapping, a user’s pronouns are displayed in their contact card and as part of their display name in meetings and webinars. These pronouns will be displayed in the participant list and next to the participant's name under their video. - Support up to 25 custom languages for interpretation
Up to 25 custom languages for interpretation can be used during a meeting or webinar. Previously, only up to 5 custom languages were supported. This option is only available if Enable language interpretation by default is enabled. - Support for multi-language and translation in Webinars
Multi-language and translation for webinars is now supported for 3rd party room systems. Zoom Webinar hosts can enable translated captions to support webinars with multiple different language speakers, allowing attendees to view captions in the language that they select. Additionally, automated captions in Webinars support languages in addition to English, which has been the only supported language thus far. Previously, these captioning features were only available for Meetings. The Translated Captions feature is currently only available for Zoom One Business Plus and Zoom One Enterprise Plus accounts.

When viewing a meeting in Gallery view, participants who have raised their hands using the nonverbal feedback feature, will be displayed in the top left of the Gallery view grid. - Closed captions default layout change
As part of a UX improvement, closed captions will by default at the bottom of the in-meeting layout. This can be changed by adding 704 to the dial string, to move captions to the top of the layout. - Support for shared host audio while in a breakout room

Participants joining from a SIP/H.323 device can now raise or lower their hand as nonverbal feedback, using the in-meeting DTMF menu. - “Meeting has not started” dialog prompt
A new prompt has been added, with the following messages "Meeting Has Not Started Yet" and "Start Meeting with Host Key", when a SIP/H.323 device joins a meeting before the host but Join Before Host has not been enabled for the meeting. - Ability to use Host Key to bypass Waiting Room
Participants joining from a SIP/H.323 device can now use the Host Key to bypass the Waiting Room.
Changes to existing features
- Disabling of TLS 1.1
TLS 1.1 will be disabled on March 26, 2021, for the US West and all non-US data centers. This change will take effect for US East data centers on April 2, 2021. This change will impact all SIP/H.323 devices attempting to connect to a meeting that requires device encryption and all managed devices. This will be enforced for all device types: both managed with an API connector or unmanaged by Zoom. - Updated layout and design of the in-meeting DTMF menu
The in-meeting SIP/H.323 menu has been updated with a new visual layout. The menu structure is the same. - Closed captions layout change
As part of a UX improvement, closed captioning can be moved to the bottom of the in-meeting layout by using 506 within your dial string. - Waiting Room Notification UI Enhancement
Meetings started with a host key will now have a new dialog box presented when participants enter the waiting room. There is also a new hourglass icon indicating how many participants are in the waiting room.

- Fixed an issue where devices joining via the CRC were joining with the video on, and audio unmuted, even if the meeting was scheduled with video and audio off for participants.
- Fixed an issue where Cisco devices are dropped from a meeting after the call is put on hold, and then resume the call.

SIP/H.323 devices connected via the Cloud Room Connector can now view the Active Speaker layout on one screen while viewing the Gallery view layout on a second screen. If there are only two other participants in the meeting, both participants will be displayed separately on each screen. This can be enabled from within the in-meeting controls. - Suppress on-screen menus option
The on-screen menus can now be suppressed by using “504” in the dial string. Once in the meeting, the menus can be toggled on or off by pressing “7”. This is useful for customers who have created macros using a Cisco Touch 10.

The Mute All/Unmute all functionality has been added to the Host menu, within the SIP/H.323 in-meeting controls. - Support for forcing single-stream video/screen share
Support has been added for forcing video and screen share content as a single stream instead of a dual-stream when h.239 or BFCP is enabled. Single stream video can be forced by adding “505” into the dialing string when joining a meeting. - UI change for Audio Mute and Video Mute icons
The design for the “Audio Muted” and “Video Muted” icons has been updated. The new icons appear in the upper right corner of the screen.

Zoom is upgrading to the AES 256-bit GCM encryption standard, which offers increased protection of your meeting data in transit and resistance against tampering. This provides confidentiality and integrity assurances on your Zoom Meeting, Zoom Webinars, and Zoom Phone data. This feature will be automatically enabled for all accounts on May 30. For H.323/SIP devices, GCM encryption will be used between the Cloud Room Connector and the Meeting connector, to ensure codec compatibility.
