Version: 3.12.0.20250409.721
New, enhanced, and changed features
| Type | Feature title | Description | Platforms |
|---|
| Changed feature | Enhancements to sub account resource management | Account owners and admins can now implement a three-tier master-master-sub account structure for more granular license management. Master accounts have controls to grant Zoom Node and module licenses to sub accounts, enabling sub accounts to create their own Zone Controllers and Hybrid Meeting Media Routers. In addition, there is added support for switching sub accounts between Meeting Connector and Zoom Meeting Hybrid resources, with toggles to control dashboard visibility of exclusive and shared resource pools. Master accounts can monitor resource usage across all tiers while maintaining centralized control over license distribution. These capabilities provide service providers with enhanced flexibility in managing licenses and resources across complex organizational structures. | |
| Changed feature | Enhancements to email notification settings | Account owners and admins can add email addresses outside of their organization's domain, when configuring email notifications for Zoom Node services. This allows non-Zoom users to receive notifications about service-related issues. | |
| Changed feature | Data center transition for hybrid meeting and recording services | Due to the migration from 2-letter to 3-letter data centers, an automated process is available for migrating hybrid meeting ZCs and recording ZCs. The migration involves domain name changes for hybrid meeting ZCs and requires restarting all Meeting Recording Resources (MMRs) in the affected zone. The system handles all migration tasks without requiring customer intervention, similar to MMR updates. Migrations are scheduled during off-peak hours to minimize service disruption. This transition ensures continued service availability before the May 2025 decommissioning of 2-letter data centers with hybrid resources. | |
