Version 5.15.2*
*Note: Between the standard desktop client release of 5.15.0 and this VDI release of 5.15.0, there were 2 hotfixes released (5.15.1 and 5.15.2), which included bug fixes and security enhancements. These hotfixes are included in this VDI release and to indicate these inclusions, the 5.15.0 version number will be skipped and 5.15.2 will be used instead.
Changes to existing features
- Enhanced multi-share and proctoring mode disabled
Support for the new feature that provides hosts with the option to monitor multiple participants’ shared desktops simultaneously has been disabled for VDI.

- General features
- Include the last VDI Plugin ConnectionError code in WMI
Results for WMI queries for plugin information have been enhanced to include the last ConnectionError code. Learn more about WMI and the ConnectionError codes. - Provide an option to hide the call quality banner for Zoom Phone
A new registry key has been added to prevent the Poor network connection. Audio quality may be affected. call quality notification from being shown. Admins must add the PhoneCallTipMsg policy with a value of “0” to prevent the notification banner from being displayed. - Screenshot option to capture during meetings from VDI Plugin
VDI users can capture a screenshot from the thin client, including video from the meeting and offloaded share sessions. This capability is disabled by default and can be enabled by adding the DisableScreenshotOptimization DWORD registry key to the \VDI path with the assigned value of “0” . For users with in-meeting chat enabled, using the screenshot in chat will capture on the thin client and send the image to the virtual desktop. For users with in-meeting chat disabled, users can click the Zoom icon in the Windows system tray and select Screenshot from the menu.

- Windows 64-bit Intel release for the VDI Zoom Meeting Client and VDI Plugin
A separate Windows VDI client and VDI plugin for 64-bit Intel devices will be provided. Both host and plugin installers can be found on the VDI Downloads page.

- General fixes
- No audio for Zoom Phone when switching to a remote session without a plugin
An audio issue was reported where users switched from a remote connection with a VDI plugin to another device without a plugin. The audio for Zoom Phone did not work in fallback mode until after joining a meeting or the client was restarted. - Do not display Confirm Emergency Address when the address is a match
An issue was reported for Zoom Phone where the configuration used the option to Follow Company Address and, even if the address matched, the pop-up dialog was still displayed. This issue was reported in version 5.14.10. - Phone muted after user was added as panelist or returned from breakout room
An issue was reported where the Zoom Phone state was being muted when either returning from a breakout room or the user was promoted to a panelist in a webinar. - Physical machine added as a remote desktop needed to update mode when switching from remote to direct
An issue was reported for physical machines added to a virtual environment. If a remote connection from a thin client with a VDI plugin was established, and later, the user logged directly into the physical machine, the mode was not switching into fallback. - Audio device selection not reselected after restarting VDI client
An issue was reported where the audio device selection for microphone and speaker was not preserved after the VDI host was restarted. - Improved error handling for invalid certificates
A potential crash issue was reported regarding error handling and invalid certificates. Improvements to error handling have been added to resolve this issue. - Automatically adjust video resolution
An issue was reported where video resolution for the participants viewed in gallery view did not increase when an increase in the windows size would support a higher resolution. This issue was reported in version 5.7.8.

- Video lost after VMware session minimized and then maximized
An issue was reported where video was not displayed in a second meeting if they minimized the VMware session and then maximized it before joining the second meeting. - Windows 64-bit support for Universal Installer and Horizon Client 8.5 or lower
An issue was reported where the new 64-bit Universal Installer for the VDI Plugin did not support installing the plugin when the VMware Horizon Client version was 8.5 or less. - Resize window when Show Window Contents while Dragging is disabled
An issue was reported where attempting to resize a floating window by dragging the top of the window down was not working correctly if the Show Window Contents while Dragging option was enabled. This issue was reported in version 5.11.0. - Potential crash when installing new macOS VDI Plugin
A potential crash issue was reported where upon installing a new plugin, the process for the existing plugin had not fully exited. This issue was reported in version 5.14.10.
- Windows fixes
- VDI Plugin Management updates for 64-bit
If the Windows OS is 64-bit (x64), VDI Plugin Management will install the 64-bit (x64) plugin, if it is available. If a 64-bit (x64) version does not exist, the 32-bit (x86) plugin will be installed instead. If the Windows OS is 32-bit (x86), VDI Plugin Management will only install the 32-bit (x86) plugin.
- macOS fixes
- VDI Plugin Management updates for Universal Installer
When VDI Plugin Management for macOS needs to update a VDI Plugin version that is lower than 5.13.10, the new plugin update will switch to the Universal Plugin package that is required.
- Linux fixes
- Immersive View and video adjustments
An issue was reported where users were unable to move the video for a participant when they switched to Immersive View. This affected Linux VDI plugins in an Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD)/Windows 365 desktop. This issue was reported in version 5.14.0. - Improvements for adjusting split share/video layout
Adjusting the split view for the share session and video participants has been improved to be more responsive when dragging the vertical divider between the left and right sides for Linux users on the AVD/Windows 365 platform. This issue was found in version 5.14.10. - Menu dismissed for “More…” button
An issue was reported where the popup menu for the More … menu in the meeting controls view was not persistent. This issue was found in version 5.12.0. - Webcam freeze when hot-swapping between two webcams
An issue was reported when two webcams are connected and the active webcam is disconnected. While the second webcam would correctly become the active camera after disconnecting, reconnecting the first webcam would cause the second webcam video to freeze. This issue was found in version 5.13.0. - Dual webcam selections reported for some laptop devices
An issue was reported where a built-in camera was being displayed twice as an available camera option for laptops using the Linux plugin. - Video lost for Immersive View after opening Video Settings
An issue was reported when using Immersive View with a custom background where the video stopped if the user opened video settings. This issue was found in version 5.14.0.

An issue was reported where the video indication of newer Zoom clients incorrectly displayed the video status when the camera of VDI users was active.
