To upgrade the firmware on Aver cameras such as CAM520 or CAM340:
- Download the Aver PTZApp
- Connect the CAM520/340 directly to your computer (bypass any USB extender)
- Go to the Diagnostics Tab, and click on the Update link
If the CAM340 is showing a black or a frozen video screen, do the following:
- Load the AVer PTZApp on the Zoom Room CPU (PC/Mac)
- Install and run the app to update the firmware on the camera
- When the firmware is updated, go into the settings menu and change the usb transfer mode to isochronous mode
- Save the settings and exit
