Release notes for June 7, 2023
New and enhanced features
- VDI Client features
- Client statistics enhancement for data offloaded to the plugin
The Statistics section of the client settings window will provide greater details on if the processing of shared content is being offloaded to the VDI plugin, as well as how the data is sent. This is intended to help admins with troubleshooting sharing issues. - Logi Dock support hot plug-in in meeting
Users in a meeting can plug in Logi Dock into the thin client. Camera control can work automatically after Log Dock is connected. (Sometimes camera control will not work due to the device driver issue on the Linux platform.)
- macOS features
- Zoom VDI Plugin Diagnostic tool
The Zoom VDI Plugin Diagnostic tool can help customers to more easily collect plugin-related information when they encounter plugin connection issues.
- Linux features
- Support for PTZ remote camera control
The Linux VDI client can remotely control cameras with PTZ (Pan-Tilt-Zoom) functionalities.
- Windows features
- VDI Plugin Management support for Later option with Azure/Windows 365 platforms
When configured on the virtual desktop, the Later policy allows users to either dismiss a plugin update prompt (value=1) or start installation after they have disconnected from their remote desktop (value=2). - Enhanced MSI options for clean uninstallation
Two additional uninstallation options are available for uninstalling only the plugin (/vdi_plugin) or the VDI host (vdi_host). Previously, the Clean Zoom Tool supported only one MSI option for VDI (/vdi_clean), which would remove both VDI host and VDI plugin if both were installed.
