Changes to existing features

Event moderators can be assigned additional special roles
Event moderators can be assigned additional special roles. Users who are already assigned a special role can also be assigned the chat moderator role.
Note: Event moderators cannot be assigned the interpreter role. -
Host can be assigned as a speaker
Hosts can now be assigned as a speaker, granting themselves additional functionality, to the sessions at their event. -
Grace period provided before event deletion
Users’ events are no longer deleted immediately if their Zoom Events license is improperly assigned or expired. Instead, users will now receive email notices and see banner messages in Zoom Events notifying them that they no longer have a Zoom Events license, and users are granted a grace period to reapply for a new license. When a user’s license expires, they will receive email notices and see banner messages in Zoom Events notifying them they no longer have a Zoom Events license.

Remove image download option from emails
The image download option has been removed from the Zoom Events emails. Previously, a download button was available for Zoom Events users to download images in Zoom Events emails.

Event discoverability controls moved to the Basic Information tab
The controls for managing whether an event is private or discoverable by the public has been moved from the Advanced Options tab to the Basic Information tab, allowing the host to select the event’s discoverability at the beginning of the event creation process. -
Marketing consent update
Updated verbiage clarifies what it means for hosts to disable the marketing consent checkbox. In addition, hosts can indicate whether they would like to capture marketing consent from attendees or not. -
Support for 300 non-sponsored booths in expo
The number of non-sponsored booths during an expo has increased from 200 to 300 booths. -
Apply Zoom Events Profile details to speaker bio
Users invited to be a speaker can apply the information from their Zoom Event Profile to their speaker bio for the session they are speaking at, saving them time and eliminating repetitive work if invited to be a speaker at multiple sessions.

System-readiness testing tool
Attendees can use a test tool—accessible from the registration detail page or the event lobby (web)—to see if their system (browser, internet speed, etc.) meets the requirements for a Zoom Events experience. -
Enhancements to attendees’ session-join experience
Attendees can join a session from their preferred platform without needing to check whether they have signed out from the same session or not. This feature allows attendees to join a session on other platforms by making the join call to action available on the native Zoom client and browser lobby. If attendees confirm that they would like to join the same session on another platform, they will be automatically signed out of their previous platform by Zoom Events. -
Export Itinerary events to personal calendar
Attendees can view a message in the lobby, notifying them that they can export the event calendar as an ICS file in the conference lobby Itinerary tab. Attendees can export their event agenda from the lobby Itinerary tab to their personal (external) calendar through an ICS calendar file with all their agenda’s sessions.
Note: When attendees export events to their personal calendar and subsequently add more sessions to their calendar, their personal calendar will not update with the added sessions.

Report a recording
Users can report any recording in Zoom Events to the Trust and Safety team using the Report Recording function which is located under the video’s title and description.

Set custom registration date outside of event date/time
Hosts can set a custom registration end date and time outside of the event’s date and time; however, this must be set before the event lobby is closed. This allows hosts to keep registration open and sell tickets after an event is over so that people who haven’t attended the event can purchase tickets can view video recordings.

Enhancement to Zoom Events and Pardot integration
Zoom Events organizers can sync event-level attendance data to a selected Pardot list in real-time. They can also send all registration responses and custom field data from Zoom Events registrants to Pardot.

Account owners and admins can set up 10DLC compliance for US/Canada via self service. Use this link to set up your account with 10DLC. -
Japan Zoom Phone numbers purchase
Account owners and admins can identify the type of phone numbers being purchased for Japan as being 0ABJ or 050 phone numbers. Previously purchasing those phone numbers appeared as generic toll phone numbers. -
Restricted Call/SMS Hours
Account owners and admins can define the time frame when an extension or user CANNOT make or accept calls and send SMS. The restricted hours, follow the “When a call is not answered” user call handling setting. If this setting is enabled, outbound and inbound emergency calls and SMS will still be allowed. SMS settings only apply to users. -
Allowed Calls/SMS Locations
Account owners and admins can define the locations where users can make and accept calls and send SMS. When the users are outside of the allowed locations, calls and SMS will follow the “When a call is not answered” user call handling setting. If this setting is enabled, outbound and inbound emergency calls and SMS will still be allowed. SMS settings only apply to users. -
Enhancement to location sharing for Windows clients
Account owners and admins can enable a policy to allow Windows clients to automatically share their locations without the need for the user to manually enable this feature from their Zoom app. This is useful when nomadic emergency services and/or location based call restrictions are enabled. Users will be notified in the Zoom app that their admins enabled this feature on their behalf under Location Permission. -
Enhancement to Zoom Phone QoS Dashboard
Enhancement to the QoS dashboard include:
- A call direction and duration can be filtered with multiple selections.
- The E164 format can be used when searching for a phone number.
- Calls can be filtered for a group of users and can be applied to the overall and specific calls.
- Data can be exported to a CSV file.

Opt In/Out report
Account owners and admins can run the call queue historical report and call log to review the list of agents that opted-in/out of call queues. Admins will see the user’s extension, the reason and timestamp of when the agent’s status changed, the opt-in/out status, the corresponding call queue, and the extension of the person that made the change. Data is visible only with a Power Pack license.

Poly IP Phones
Users can add local contacts directly to the directory of their physical Poly IP phones. Submit a request to Zoom Support to enable this feature. -
Cisco MPP IP Phones
- Admins can add a comma between speed-dials and be able to transfer a call to voicemail using the **EXT DTMF code.
- Users can add their company directory on Cisco MPP IP Phones and Devices. This change applies to 6800/7800/8800 and xx32 conference phone series.

Cisco IP Phone custom firmware rules
Admins can create a custom firmware that includes the vendor, model, and firmware version to manage the firmware of their Cisco IP Phones. -
Supported device for Cisco MPP 8865
Cisco V-KEM (Key Expansion Module) is now supported for the 8865 IP Phone. -

The following devices will receive firmware upgrades. Devices will automatically reboot to upgrade firmware.

Changes to existing features

Support for bandwidth limit management
The Limit Network bandwidth feature is available to all paid accounts, and is disabled by default. Account owners and admins can enable it to set the appropriate maximum bandwidth for devices according to their network environments. Previously, this feature required Zoom enablement. -
Remove dependency on Contacts setting controlling group-level chat settings
A setting on the Contacts page in the web portal is being decoupled from the Zoom Chat group-level settings. Previously, when the Contacts setting List all account users under ‘All Contacts’ was enabled, group-level Zoom Chat settings were ignored and all users followed the account-level settings. For accounts with this setting enabled (and therefore not using group-level chat settings), most of their settings have been locked at the account level to preserve existing behavior when the dependency is removed. Account owners and admins can view changes reflected in the Operation Logs. This update will slowly roll out to customers over the following month.

Enhancements to Meeting quality score and network alerts on Dashboard
In Dashboard, accounts have access to view the meeting quality score and network alerts, as well as set custom thresholds for network alerts. Previously, admins had to choose between having customized quality settings or an overall quality score assigned to their meeting in the Zoom web portal. In Dashboard, admins have access to both the Meeting and Webinar Quality and Meetings and Webinars Issues Trend charts. -
Support for searching by user in Dashboard
Account owners and admins can search by user in Dashboard to view all meetings or webinars (live or past) that a user has joined or hosted. Previously, you could only search by who hosted the meeting or webinar. -
Support up to 25 custom languages for interpretation
Account owners and admins can allow users to add up to 25 custom languages for interpretation when scheduling a meeting or webinar. This option is only available if the Enable language interpretation by default option is selected. It’s available at the account, group, and user levels; and can be locked at the account or group level. This enhancement must be enabled by Zoom and requires client version 5.11.2 or higher. Previously, up to 5 custom languages were supported. -
Support for multi-language and translated captions in webinars
Account owners and admins can enable Translated Captions for webinars, which allows users to enable automated translated captions in language pairs in webinars. Additionally, automated captions in Webinars support more languages in addition to English, which has been the only supported language thus far. These settings are available at the account, group, and user levels. Previously, these features were only available for meetings. Translated Captions are currently only available for Zoom One Business Plus and Zoom One Enterprise Plus accounts. -
Enhancements for sharing cloud recordings
There are several enhancements to improve the experience of sharing cloud recordings. Account owners and admins can allow sharing of recordings with specific users or meeting invites in addition to the admin’s selected authentication options in the web portal; this setting is available at the account, group, and user level. These enhancements allow users with scheduling privilege to access and manage cloud recordings for their scheduled meeting. Additionally, a recording link will be generated while the video is processing, allowing users to share the recording link. -
Broadcast voice to all breakout rooms
Account owners and admins can allow hosts to broadcast their microphone audio to all breakout rooms in a meeting. Previously, only device audio could be shared to breakout rooms from the main session. -
Only allow internal users to chat in meetings or webinars
Account owners and admins can choose to only allow internal users in the account to use in-meeting/webinar chat. This applies regardless of whether the meeting or webinar is hosted by a regulated user’s organization or an external organization. -
Support for archiving in-meeting chat for regulated users on external meetings
Account owners and admins can require their regulated users' in-meeting chat conversations to be archived when they join Zoom meetings hosted by an external organization. When enabled, users in the meeting are shown a disclaimer that archiving is on. This feature must be enabled by Zoom.

Support for calendar event bi-directional syncing
Account owners and admins can enable bi-directional syncing to and from Google and Outlook calendars. This allows Zoom events created or updated on Zoom or external calendars to stay automatically synced across all integrated platforms. This setting is available at the account, group, and user levels. This feature only supports updates made to an individual meeting (non-recurring) or an entire series.

Set the minimum Zoom SDK version
Account owners and admins can enable and specify a different set of minimum versions for Zoom Meeting SDK apps. Once the SDK minimum version option is enabled, account owners and admins can select a minimum version, uniquely for each SDK platform. This setting is available at the account level.

Enhancements to mapping exist to skills in flow editor
Account owners and admins can search and sort in the Map Exit to Skill section of the Collect Input and Condition widgets, allowing them to easily find the skill category and skills. -
Export and import flow
Account owners and admins can export a published flow as a JSON file. They can also import a JSON file to create a new draft flow. -
Third-party chat bot integration
Account owners and admins can integrate Zoom Contact Center with Google Dialogflow or Amazon Lex to enable consumers to interact with these chat bots. This feature must be enabled by Zoom. -
Enhancements to consumer routing profiles
When using address book variables in consumer routing profiles, account owners and admins can view variable groups by system or custom variables, search for variables, and export a list of variables as a CSV file. -
Slide media type
Account owners and admins can add or edit PDF files (also known as slides) to the asset library. They can use slides in the flow editor. -
Enhancements to callback for video engagements
If callback is enabled for a video queue, account owners and admin can allow consumers to receive the callback notification using SMS or phone in addition to email. Consumers can decline a callback request using SMS or email -
Support for mobile web browsers
Consumers can join video engagements from a mobile web browser. -
Outbound queue configuration
Account owners and admins can configure the following outbound queue settings to control how agents are placing outbound voice calls:
- Enable or disable outbound calling for each queue
- Set the default outbound queue for each agent

Enhancements to asset management
Account owners and admins can view details on where assets are used; for example, in the flow editor, queue, or inbox. They will also see a warning message when editing or deleting an asset that’s in use. -
Archive assets
Account owners and admins can archive assets then recover archived assets or permanently delete an asset. -
Share file in chat during video engagement
Account owners and admins can enable or disable the ability for agents and consumers to share files in chat during an active video engagement. This feature requires client version 5.11.9 or higher. -
Enhancements to internal calling from Zoom Contact Center to Zoom Phone
Account owners and admins can enable supervisors and agents to make outbound calls and transfer calls by entering a name for contact matching. The system matches the name to the account’s Zoom Phone Contacts and locates matches for the contact. The system displays matches for contacts containing an extension or phone number, then supervisors and agents can select the correct contact and number combination. If a matching name does not include an extension or phone number, then they don’t display as a match. This feature requires client version 5.11.9 or higher. -
Enhancements to external voice calling
Account owners and admins can enable supervisors and agents to make outbound calls and transfer calls by entering a name for contact matching. The system matches the name to the Zoom Contact Center address book and locates the PSTN number for the contact. The system displays matches for contacts containing a phone number, then supervisors and agents can select the correct contact and number combination. If a matching name does not include a phone number, then they don’t display as a match. This feature requires client version 5.11.9 or higher. -
Email notifications for voicemail
Account owners and admins can allow agents to receive email notifications when voicemails are received. This setting can be changed at the account or inbox level. -
Control visibility of monitoring notification banner
Account owners and admins can enable or disable banners that notify agents when a supervisor begins listening or whispering during the engagement. -
Assign same phone numbers to a voice and SMS flow
Account owners and admins can assign the same phone number as the entry point to one voice flow and one SMS flow. This allows consumers to call or text the same phone number to reach the flow. -
Customize welcome screen image
When uploading a new welcome screen image from their computer, account owners and admins crop the image so that it fits in the chat engagement window. -
In-app messaging channel
Account owners and admins can create and configure flows and queues for the new in-app messaging channel. This channel is for chat flows that are embedded in an app. -
Data retention period
Account owners and admins can define the data retention period for Zoom Contact Center data including voicemails, recordings, transcriptions, and chat/SMS messages. After the defined data retention period, data is auto deleted. They can also configure soft deletion (also known as recycle bin) and permanent deletion. -
Activity reporting by interval (voice only)
Account owners and admins can use the Queue Interval Report to summarize activity reporting and specify results by time intervals. This report sorts the results into a tabular format and can be exported as a CSV file. This feature applies to voice channels only. -
Metric for first response delay
Account owners and admins can view new metrics for reporting SMS and chat message initial response delays. The first response delay measures the amount of time it takes an agent to respond to a consumer’s initial message in a messaging channel engagement. These metrics are available in historical reports, real-time analytics, and agent reports. -
Events for callbacks
Account owners and admins can view events on callbacks so that they can better understand callback attempts. -
Export metered SMS log
Account owners and admins can export the metered SMS log as a CSV file. -
Recordings log
Account owners and admins can manage all of their recordings from a centralized control center. They can also select multiple recordings and mass delete recordings to free up storage space and to meet their organization’s compliance and recording retention policies. -
Enhancements to waterfall chart
The waterfall chart in the real-time analytics dashboard has been improved to better display the engagements at the beginning and end of the specified time period.

Support for bypassing the Waiting Room for host/co-host invited participants
Participants on the PWA, who are invited into the meeting by the host or co-host, will be able to bypass the Waiting Room. This Waiting Room behavior can be controlled in web settings. -
Support for receiving broadcast mic audio to all breakout rooms by host
PWA participants in Breakout Rooms are able to receive and hear mic audio broadcast by the host on the desktop client.

Zoom Whiteboard localization for all supported languages
The Zoom Whiteboard out-of-meeting menus and UI have been localized when you have your language set to any of the currently supported languages in your Zoom Profile. -
Object and canvas context menus
When an object or the Whiteboard canvas is right-clicked, a context menu is provided, containing typical actions based on the context, such as copy, paste, duplicate, add comment, and options to adjust order of layers (bring to front, send to back, etc). -
Rich-text options for text objects
Text objects, sticky notes, and shapes can be more finely formatted with additional rich-text options, including bold, italics, underline, font size, bulleted and numbered lists, and more. -
Enhanced More menu for out-of-meeting desktop client experience
The out-of-meeting Whiteboard experience on the desktop client has added additional options to the More menu, which are already available in the out-of-meeting Whiteboard experience through the web portal. These options include Version History, Leave Feedback, Help, and Report. -
Change arrow-heads on lines
When a line is placed on the Whiteboard, the type of line can be edited after being placed from the line context menu. This allows the user to add or remove arrow-heads on either or both ends of the line. -
Connector line enhancements: Dot endpoint and elbow joints
Connecting lines between objects have the additional dot option for the endpoints, which already include arrows. Additionally, connector lines are no longer limited to straight and curved lines, as they can also be changed to have a 90° elbow joint. -
Enhanced collaboration cursors
Whiteboard users can see the name and cursor location of other users while they co-edit a whiteboard in real time. Users have the option to hide collaborators' cursors to limit distractions. -
Last editor shown on Dashboard
The Modified column of the Whiteboard dashboard shows the name and time of the last editor on a particular whiteboard. -
Zoom Whiteboard enhancement for Slack integration
When a user requests access to a Whiteboard, the owner of the Whiteboard receives a notification in Slack. The owner can quickly grant access to the Whiteboard from Slack. -
Zoom Whiteboard enhancements for Teams integration
When a user requests access to a Whiteboard, the owner of the Whiteboard receives a notification in Teams. The owner can quickly grant access to the Whiteboard from within Teams. Additionally, users can easily access their Whiteboards in the Zoom extension and share a Whiteboard. They can also create a new Whiteboard and share it from within Teams.
