Group management policies
Account owners and admins can use group management to set Zoom Phone policy settings at the group level. Certain policy settings under Phone System Management in the web portal will also appear under User Management > Groups > Zoom Phone tab. This allows for more granular control of policy settings. Sites typically reflect location (for example, the San Jose site), while groups typically reflect organization (for example, the Accounting group). By using Zoom Phone group management policies, phone users can belong to multiple sites but inherit the policies set at the group level. This is not available for standalone accounts. Account owners and admins can also lock policy settings at the account. group, or site levels. This feature does not change any existing configurations of policy settings.
Important: This feature was visible on March 20 and deployment will be complete by March 27. We recommend customers wait until after March 27 before activating group-level Zoom Phone policies. -
Setting search enhancement
Account owners and admins can search for Zoom Phone policy settings, without having to go to each tab within the account- or group-level settings. Previously, search did not include Zoom Phone settings. -
Enhancement to personal voicemail and videomail policy setting
Account owners and admins can access the member list for the personal voicemail and videomail policy settings. This allows them to view and manage a list of members with access. Admins can also control users’ ability to download or delete voicemail at the account, group, and site levels. Previously, this was only available at the user level.
-
Allow phone users to pause/resume automatic call recording
Account owners and admins can allow users and members of call queues that are subject to automatic call recording to pause and resume the automatic call recording. This setting is available at account, group, site, user, and call queue levels. -
Recording in progress notification sidetone
Account owners and admins can enable a side tone beep to notify recorded users that their recording is in progress when they are subject to automatic call recording or they have initiated ad-hoc call recording. Admins can configure the interval beeps and the beep volume as desired. Note the tone is heard only by the recorded user, it is not intended as a notification to all call participants that a recording is in progress. This feature must be enabled by Zoom. -
Granular country control for international calling policy setting
Account owners and admins can change account and group level policy settings to manage international countries users are allowed to call. International in this context refers to countries other than their domestic calling plan country. Previously, this setting was only available at the site and user levels. -
Granular control for personal audio library policy setting
Account owners and admins can manage whether users can customize their voicemail greeting, hold music, or both. This policy setting is available at the account, group, site, and user level. Previously, admins could only enable or disable voicemail greeting and hold music at the same time. -
Automatic call recording support for common area phones Account owners and admins can enable automatic call recording for common area phones. This feature requires a Metered, Unlimited or Pro License

Enhancement to Zoom Phone Appliance hot desking
Account owners and admins can assign calendar resources to Zoom Phone Appliances. They can also assign a location so that the appliance appears as a workspace on the floor map. This requires the Zoom Phone Appliance 5.10.0 client which is scheduled to be released in April. -
IP Phone devices listed in device list landing page
The device list landing page is now listing phone devices to provide account owners and admins better visibility of the devices being managed. Now admins can view a complete list of all the devices attached to Zoom services, including Zoom IP Phone and Devices. This enables admins to perform tasks such as filtering on vendors, operating systems, etc. with a complete view across all devices. Admins will need viewing permissions for both Zoom Rooms and Zoom Phones to see the complete list.

Setting to allow alternative hosts to edit meeting polls
The feature to allow alternative hosts to edit meeting polls is now a setting at the account, group, and user levels in the Zoom web portal. If enabled, meeting hosts can allow alternative hosts to add or edit polls.
