New and enhanced features

• General features
  • Support for IPv6 - Win, Mac, Appliances, iOS zrc, Android zrc, Win zrc, ZP Appliances
  • Joining personal meetings (PMI) - Win, Mac, Appliances, iOS zrc, Android zrc
    Users can populate their “location” field with their PMI and allow others to join that individual’s personal meeting ID if listed. 
  • Enhanced user interface and user experience - Win, Appliances, ZP appliances
    Enhancements have been made for signing-in, sending invites, changing in-meeting settings, and participants on touch devices. 
  • Spam call indicator - Win, Mac, Appliances, iOS zrc, Android zrc, ZP appliances
    Users can see a spam call notification if one is detected. 
  • Enhancements to voice commands - Win, Mac, Appliances, iOS zrc, Android zrc
  • Multi-Stream view improvements - Win, Mac, Appliances, iOS zrc, Android zrc
    Remote meeting attendees will be able to see which camera feeds belong to the same Zoom Room. Zoom Room camera feeds will sort together by default.
  • Archiving error notification - Mac, Win, Appliance, iOS zrc, Android zrc
    Users will receive an error notification if meeting archiving fails. 
  • BYOD mode enhancement - Appliances, iOS zrc, Android zrc
    Bring your own device (BYOD) mode can be entered or exited from the Zoom Rooms interface if you are using a Poly device.
  • Zoom Room voice commands (Public Beta) - Win zrc
    Users can check-in, check-out, start a scheduled meeting, start an instant meeting, join a meeting ID, enter meeting passcodes, leave and end a meeting with voice commands. Say “Hello Zoom” to get started. This is not currently supported on computers with ARM CPUs (Apple M1).

    Recreate the feel of your class or conference room by placing video participants onto a single virtual background. Participants are automatically placed onto provided scenes, but the host can upload their own custom background and adjust the arrangements as needed. 
  • Viewing webinar participants - Win
    Zoom Room users can view attendees and panelists in a webinar. 
  • Breakout rooms management - Win, Mac, Appliances, iOS zrc, Android zrc, ZP Appliances
    Meeting hosts can use the features of breakout rooms with a Zoom Rooms controller or touch screen. 
  • Troubleshooting logs for Microsoft Teams meetings - Win, Mac, Appliances, iOS zrc, Android zrc
    Participants in a Microsoft Teams meeting can send logs to Microsoft.
  • Multi-Stream view (Public Beta) - Win, Mac
    Zoom Rooms Multi-Stream view displays multiple video feeds from up to three different cameras in a single conference room. This allows the Zoom Room cameras to focus more closely on groups of participants and display these people more clearly to remote attendees.

    Hosts can hide profile pictures, suspend participant activities and start video for participants. 
  • Focus mode - Win, Mac, Appliances, iOS zrc, Android zrc, ZP appliances
    In focus mode, only the host can see participants’ videos or profile pictures when video is off. Participant screen sharing can only be viewed by the host, who can switch between multiple shared screens and allow participants to view others’ shared screens. Administrators can enable Focus mode for use in meetings via the web portal.
  • Virtual background delay - Mac, Win, iOS zrc, Android zrc
    If a user’s virtual background fails to load, a prompt will appear with the option to start the video without it. 
  • Additional non-verbal feedback - Mac, Appliances, iOS zrc, Android zrc, ZP Appliances
    Attendees can click the coffee cup icon in the reactions menu during a meeting to indicate that they are temporarily away.
  • Local only screen share - Appliances, iOS zrc, Android zrc
    Users can make screen shares visible only to themselves when sharing. This allows a user to read notes in a meeting that are not visible to other participants.
  • Support 49 video participants in Gallery view - Appliances
    Each screen in a Zoom room can support up to 49 video participants. For example, two screens would support 98 participants and three screens 147 participants, which is the maximum number supported.
  • Improvements to non-verbal feedback - Appliances, ZP appliances
    Users who raise their hand in a meeting will have their feedback more prominently displayed in their participant window on the Zoom Room display.

    Meeting hosts can tap the security option while in a meeting to report a participant to Zoom trust and safety for inappropriate behavior.

    Meeting hosts can tap the security option while in a meeting to easily access the following features: lock meeting, enable waiting room, disable chat, disable participant renaming, disable screen sharing for others, remove participant, report a participant.
  • Host selection when leaving a meeting - Win zrc, Web zrc
    The host will be prompted to assign a new host before leaving the meeting
  • Waiting room - Win zrc, Web zrc
    Hosts in direct share meetings or phone calls will be able to allow or prevent participants from joining their meetings when waiting room is enabled.
  • Enhanced data privacy notices - Win zrc, Web zrc
    In-context user education for various features, such as whiteboard, closed captioning, and others, informs the user who can see, save, and share the information before they provide it.
  • Searching participants - Win zrc, Web zrc
    Zoom Rooms users can search for participants from the participants list in a meeting.
  • Video virtual background support with green screen - Win zrc, Web zrc

    Meeting participants in a Zoom Room can reply to in-meeting chat messages with a Zoom Rooms controller or using a Zoom Rooms touch screen.
  • Ability to delete chat messages - Win zrc, Web zrc
    In-meeting chat messages that are deleted by a meeting or webinar host will also be deleted from the Zoom Rooms in that meeting.
• Management features
  • Customize recording disclaimer - Win, Mac, Appliances, iOS zrc, Android zrc, ZP appliances
    Administrators can customize the text of the recording disclaimer that is displayed to participants. 
  • Limit screen sharing for external meetings - Win, Mac, Appliances, iOS zrc, Android zrc, ZP appliances
    Administrators can restrict specific internal participants from screen sharing in a meeting with external participants. 
  • Untrusted certificate alert - Win, Mac, Appliances, ZP Appliances
    Administrators will receive alerts for untrusted certificates on their dashboards in the web portal. 
  • Remote meeting controller enhancements - Win, Mac, Appliances, iOS zrc, Android zrc, ZP Appliances
    The text of the privacy disclaimer that is displayed to administrators when taking control of a meeting has been improved. Breakout room participants will receive a message that the meeting is being controlled by an administrator. All participants will be notified when an administrator stops controlling the meeting.
  • Whiteboard saving - Win, Appliances
    Administrators can disable the ability to save whiteboards on Zoom Rooms Touch devices both during and outside of meetings. 
  • Digital signage content display control - Appliances
    Administrators can configure the time of day content is displayed.
  • Device profiles - Web zrc
    Zoom Room Device Profiles allows you to create and save profiles to a room, with specific device settings and screen layouts. These profiles can then be applied from the web interface, or from within the settings of the controller. They can also be changed while in a meeting.
  • Disclaimer messages - Win zrc, Web zrc
    Administrators can configure disclaimer messages that will appear for the following actions: start meeting, join meeting, host recording start.

    Personal Zoom Room users can choose to blur their backgrounds rather than selecting a specific virtual background. This provides added privacy when a branded background is unavailable or unnecessary. This is currently supported on Poly devices, Neat bars, and Facebook portal.
  • Support for Logitech RoomMate - Appliances, Android zrc
  • Denoise on DTEN ME devices - Appliances
    Denoise will be enabled on DTEN ME devices if ANS is set to aggressive mode. Denoise enhances the sound quality of speech.

  • Block phone numbers
    Users can review recent call history and block specific numbers.
  • Zoom Phone paid license requirement
    Users will need a paid license rather than a basic license to use Zoom Phone Appliances.  
  • Support Zoom Phone Common Area Phone (CAP) License
    Organizations with CAP licenses can assign them to Zoom Phone appliances and allow users to sign in as guests.
