The Discover What’s New menu item has been disabled for the VDI client. The information displayed was for the standard client and could include features not supported for VDI. - Improvements for removing logs using VDI Log Tool
The Zoom VDI Logging Tool is updated to allow the removal of all files and directories when using the option to clean up logging. - End-of-Life for the dedicated Citrix VDI Plugin MSI installer package
The dedicated Windows VDI Installer for Citrix will no longer be distributed on the VDI Downloads page. All future releases will require installing the VDI Plugin for Citrix through the Windows Universal Installer instead.
New and enhanced features
- General features
- Support for Switch Account
Enhancements have been made in order for the VDI client to support the Switch Account option, allowing users to quickly switch between multiple Zoom accounts. Admins can disable this feature through the DisableMultipleAccountsSwitch MSI/GPO policy. - Support for Zoom Notes with the VDI Client
The VDI client now supports Zoom Notes, which enables users to create and collaborate on a shared document before, during, and after meetings. - Support for Workvivo
Customers utilizing Workvivo can view the Workvivo tab within the desktop client, bringing more functionality and collaboration to the Zoom desktop app. - When 32-bit is not supported auto update to 64-bit
Currently, the VDI client auto upgrade will only update a 32-bit VDI Zoom Meeting client to the latest 32-bit release. As the 32-bit client package will be retired in 2024, when the 32-bit version of the VDI Zoom Meeting client is no longer available, auto-update will install the 64-bit version. - VDI Plugin Management for macOS now an application with an uninstaller
A dedicated installer and uninstaller for Zoom VDI Plugin Management.app is installed and available in the Applications/Zoom VDI Plugin Management folder. The Zoom VDI Plugin Management.app can be accessed through the macOS Launchpad.
