Using read receipts for messages in Zoom Team Chat

Read receipts inform the sender when their message has been delivered to and read by the recipient, providing confirmation of receipt.

In chats or channels with up to 20 members, the most recent message can display read receipts, showing who has read it. Visibility of read receipts can be disabled through the Team Chat section of client settings, if allowed by admins.

By default, this feature is disabled. Account admins can choose to disable it entirely or limit the ability to turn off read receipts in the Team Chat section of account settings.

When using read receipts, make sure it's turned on at the account level. Also, check if the user-level client setting is enabled. Both the sender and the receiver need to activate their read receipts for them to be visible. Only users who have enabled read receipts at both levels can see and show their read receipts. For example, if User A has them on and User B doesn't, User A won't see User B's read status. This applies to direct messages, channels, and group chats.
