Using Team SMS thread summary with AI Companion

When Team SMS thread summary with AI Companion feature is enabled, it allows Zoom Phone members of call queues and auto-receptionists with Power Pack licenses to generate a summarization for their SMS thread to quickly understand the conversation and generate their response.

Note: Team SMS only applies to SMS conversations from auto-receptionist or call queue phone numbers, and it requires a Power Pack license. Learn more about using SMS with call queues or auto receptionists (Team SMS) and Team SMS thread summary with AI Companion.

Requirements for using Team SMS thread summary with AI Companion

• Pro, Business, or Enterprise account
• Power Pack license
• Team SMS thread summary with AI Companion enabled for a call queue or auto receptionist
• SMS enabled for a call queue or auto-receptionist
• Zoom desktop app for Windows, macOS, or Linux: Global minimum version or higher
• Zoom mobile app for Android or iOS: Global minimum version or higher

Note: AI Companion may not be available for select verticals and select regional customers.

Limitations of Team SMS thread summary with AI Companion

• This feature is not supported for individual or group SMS at this time.

How to use Team SMS thread summary with AI Companion

1. Sign in to the Zoom desktop or mobile app.
2. Click the Phone tab .
3. Click the SMS tab.
4. Click an SMS conversation.
5. In the text box, click the Summarize with AI Companion icon .
   The summary will display within a few seconds after clicking the icon.
   Note: You can generate a summary for an SMS thread that happened in the last 24 hours.
6. (Optional) In the dialog box, use the following actions:
   • Click Copy to copy the summary and paste it where you need.
   • Click the Translate to option to configure your Translation settings and select the language to which you want the SMS thread summary to be translated. 
     • (Optional) After translating the thread summary, click Show original to see the original, untranslated text.
7. (Optional) Click the Summarize with AI Companion icon again to regenerate the summary if you are not satisfied with what was generated.
