Updating Zoom meeting details in Outlook using Send auto-sync


The Send auto-sync feature allows users to update their Zoom meetings in Outlook by simply clicking the Send button, without the need to navigate to the add-in settings. The Send button functionality specifically pertains to modifications such as adjusting the event topic, date, time, recurrence options, attendees, and more. This feature applies to various event types including single, recurring, and occurrence events. However, this does not apply when canceling or deleting a meeting.

How to update Zoom meeting details using Send auto-sync

  1. Open your Outlook Web Calendar.
  2. Click on a Zoom Meeting, and click Edit.
  3. Click the ellipsis icon in the top toolbar. 
  4. Sign in to your Zoom account if prompted.
  5. Change your meeting details.
  6. At the top of the meeting panel, click the Send button to apply the changes.
    Note: If the customer unchecks the default Keep me signed in option (enabled by default) after being logged in for 2 hours, this feature will cease to work.
  1. Open the Outlook desktop app and switch to calendar view.
  2. Double-click a Zoom meeting to display the meeting details. 
  3. Click Edit Event
  4. Click the  ellipsis icon in the top toolbar and select Zoom.
    You will see the Zoom sidebar open.
    Note: You can also customize the toolbar so that the Zoom option is always visible. Click the ellipsis icon , select Customize Toolbar, and then use the window to drag Zoom onto the toolbar.  
  5. Change your meeting details.
  6. At the top of the meeting panel, click the Send button to apply the changes.
