Enabling Team Chat Sentence Completion with AI Companion

Account owners and admins can control the use of Zoom AI Companion Sentence Completion for Team Chat. Team Chat Sentence Completion leverages AI technology, which may include third-party models, to suggest words while a user is typing an incomplete sentence. Phantom word suggestions will appear in light gray in the compose box, allowing users to accept suggestions by pressing the Tab key.

Requirements for enabling or disabling Team Chat Sentence Completion

• A Zoom Workplace Pro, Zoom Workplace Pro Plus, Zoom Workplace Business, Zoom Workplace Business Plus, Zoom Workplace Enterprise, Zoom Workplace Enterprise Plus, or Enterprise Bundle account
• Account owner or admin privileges

Note: AI Companion may not be available for select verticals and select regional customers.

How to enable or disable sentence completion in Team Chat

Account

To enable or disable Sentence completion with AI Companion for all users in the account:

1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal as an admin with the privilege to edit account settings.
2. In the navigation menu, click Account Management then Account Settings.
3. Click the AI Companion tab.
4. Under Team Chat, click the Sentence completion with AI Companion toggle to enable or disable it.
5. If a verification dialog appears, click Enable or Disable to verify the change.
6. (Optional) To prevent all users in your account from changing this setting, click the lock icon , and then click Lock to confirm the setting.

Group

To enable or disable Sentence completion with AI Companion for a group of users:

1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal as an admin with the privilege to edit groups.
2. In the navigation menu, click User Management then Groups.
3. Click the applicable group name from the list.
4. Click the AI Companion tab.
5. Under Team Chat, click the Sentence completion with AI Companion toggle to enable or disable it.
6. If a verification dialog appears, click Enable or Disable to verify the change.
   Note: If the option is grayed out, it has been locked at the account level and needs to be changed at that level.
7. (Optional) To prevent all users in the group from changing this setting, click the lock icon , and then click Lock to confirm the setting.

User

To enable or disable Sentence completion with AI Companion for your own use:

1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal.
2. In the navigation menu, click Settings.
3. Click the AI Companion tab.
4. Under Team Chat, click the Sentence completion with AI Companion toggle to enable or disable it.
5. (Optional) Click Reset if you want the setting to revert to the same value as the group or account setting.

Note: By default, the Sentence completion with AI Companion feature is enabled for you when the admin enables it for your account. You can toggle the settings without needing to restart or re-sign in to the Zoom Workplace app. If the Sentence completion with AI Companion feature is unlocked but disabled, the setting will be hidden. However, if the feature is both unlocked and enabled, the setting will be visible and enabled by default until you choose to disable it.
