Creating and managing Node groups


Administrators have the capability to create Node server groups, enabling streamlined management of Node servers. This feature facilitates the centralized management of auto-update schedules and firewall rules across multiple Node servers within a module type.

Prerequisites for creating and managing Node Groups

How to create a Node Group

  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal.
  2. In the navigation menu, click Node Management, then click Modules.
  3. Click the drop-down button , and click the desired module type.
  4. Under the Nodes tab, click the Groups tab.
  5. Click + Add Group.
  6. Under Group Name, enter the name of the Node group.
  7. Under Description, enter a description for the group.
  8. Click Confirm.

How to add Node servers to a Group

  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal.
  2. In the navigation menu, click Node Management, then click Modules.
  3. Click the drop-down button , and click the desired module type.
  4. Under the Nodes tab, click the Confirmed Nodes tab.
  5. Click the checkbox next to the Node servers you want to add to the group.
  6. Click Assign to Group.
  7. Select the desired group or click + Add New Group to create a new group.
  8. Click Assign to add the Node servers to the group.

How to manage a Node Group

Managing settings for a Node Group

  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal.
  2. In the navigation menu, click Node Management, then click Modules.
  3. Click the drop-down button , and click the desired module type.
  4. Under the Nodes tab, click the Groups tab.
  5. Click the Group Name for the desired group you want to modify. 
  6. Click the Settings tab.

Under Autoupdate, administrators can modify the auto-update and update notification settings for Nodes within the group. 

Under Firewall, administrators can configure the firewall access rules for Node services utilized within the group.

Updating the name and description for a Node Group

  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal.
  2. In the navigation menu, click Node Management, then click Modules.
  3. Click the drop-down button , and click the desired module type.
  4. Under the Nodes tab, click the Groups tab.
  5. Next to the desired group, click Edit
  6. Update the Group Name and/or Description.
  7. Click Confirm

Removing a Node Group

  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal.
  2. In the navigation menu, click Node Management, then click Modules.
  3. Click the drop-down button , and click the desired module type.
  4. Under the Nodes tab, click the Groups tab.
  5. Next to the desired group, click Remove
  6. When prompted for confirmation, click Remove.
    The Node servers will be unassigned, and the group will be removed.
