The Webinar Details page comes with an updated UI design and reorganized navigation tabs. The tabs will be moved to the top of the page for easier access and consistency with other Zoom products. Terminology and content will remain the same. This update will modernize the interface while maintaining familiar workflows. The refreshed design will aim to enhance the hosting experience. This feature will be rolling out to accounts over the next months. - Redesign webinar email templates for consistency
Webinar email templates have been redesigned for a more polished look and consistent experience across all communications. Further updates to additional templates are planned for upcoming releases.
New and enhanced features
- Admin features
- Support post-quantum end-to-end encryption for meetings: Admin control
Post-quantum end-to-end encryption in Zoom Meetings is designed to withstand the threat of an adversary who can capture the encrypted network traffic, hoping to acquire a quantum computer in the future and use it to decrypt the captured data. As users upgrade their Zoom desktop and mobile app to version 6.0.10 or higher, all end-to-end encrypted meetings will start leveraging our latest post-quantum end-to-end encryption protocol. There are no changes to enabling or disabling the end-to-end encryption settings in the Web portal. - Ability to set default breakout room behaviors
Account owners and admins can set the default breakout room behaviors while breakout rooms are in action. The option/s selected as the default behavior will apply to all meetings that have breakout rooms, including standard meetings, PMI meetings. This setting is available at the account, group, and user level settings and is disabled by default. - Customer Managed Key (CMK): Dashboard
Account owners and admins can access the Customer Managed Key (CMK) tab in the Zoom Dashboard for a detailed view of CMK utilization across their account. This new dashboard tab enables direct auditing of encryption and decryption activities, enhancing both transparency and control. Importantly, it does not collect additional data but instead makes existing data more accessible to admins. The dashboard will include the top asset type by encryption and decryption, daily and weekly numbers for encryption and decryption, as well as usage trends. - Customer Managed Key (CMK) usage report
Account owners and admins can access the usage report for Customer Managed Key (CMK) under Account Management then Reports . These reports allow admins to see who requested access to encrypted recordings and whether multiple parties accessed the same recording. Each encryption or decryption operation includes a direct link to the relevant meeting or chat history, providing a seamless review process. Other data shown include the time, requester, and type of service or asset ID. - Create a custom disclaimer when AI Companion is enabled in meetings
Account owners and admins can customize a disclaimer that will appear when AI Companion features are enabled in a meeting or when an AI Companion feature is set to auto-start on the meeting. This is useful for customers who need to insert notices when certain features are invoked. Admins can choose to show this disclaimer for internal and/or external participants, preview how it will appear to meeting participants, and create language-specific disclaimers. The custom disclaimer setting is available at the account and group levels, and can be locked at the account level. If smart recording is also enabled, the custom AI Companion disclaimer will override any recording disclaimers. This setting is off by default and is available to Enterprise accounts. This feature will not be immediately available, as it is dependent on a backend server update currently scheduled for May 24, 2024.
- User features
- Surveys: Support advanced bar chart design in viewing results
When viewing the survey results overview, users can switch from the standard view to an advanced bar chart view for a better visual representation and analysis of the data. - Surveys: Ability to add description after the survey title
When creating a survey, users can add the survey description after the title to introduce, describe, or give instructions to survey correspondents.
Resolved issues
- Resolved an issue where users received an Access Restricted (200) error when clicking on Analytics and Reports from the Web portal
- Resolved an issue where customized recording consent shows duplicated statements when the recording is started during the meeting
Changes to existing features
- Pre-registered in-app terms and agreement
When a host pre-registers an attendee and visits the lobby for the first time (through a join link or QR code), a message will appear, requiring the attendee to enter their first and last names and agreement to the terms and conditions. Pre-registered attendees and guests must complete this information and agree to the terms and conditions to be granted access to the lobby. - Join event or session in virtual mode by default
When joining a hybrid event/session with a hybrid ticket, all attendees will be placed in virtual mode by default. Previously, attendees were placed in companion (in-person) mode . - Enhancements to webinar and meeting sessions settings within Zoom Events
There are several enhancements to standardize the configuration layout for meeting and webinar settings to align closer with the rest of the Zoom web settings. In Zoom Events, the meeting and webinar settings are regrouped into smaller feature sets for all event types.
New and enhanced features
- Analytics features
- Analytics for unique Video On Demand viewers and anonymous viewer sessions
Hosts can access detailed analytics reports for Video On Demand (VOD) channels. For authenticated viewers where an email address is collected, the report will show unique viewers by month and attach associated content views and engagement. For anonymous sessions where no email address is collected, the report will show viewer sessions by day along with associated content and engagement. These analytics provide increased visibility into both identifiable and anonymous Video On Demand viewers to help hosts understand overall platform usage and engagement. - Include Video On Demand registration questions in registration report
When hosts download the Registrant Summary table data in the Video On Demand (VOD) Analytics Registration tab, all registration questions and custom questions are included in the CSV download. - In-depth analytics for attendee engagement across Zoom Events
Zoom Events offers expanded analytics capabilities to provide hosts with detailed insights into attendee engagement. Hosts can view metrics such as sessions attended, recordings viewed, connections made, and more for each attendee across all events. An aggregate table shows engagement metrics for all attendees, with sorting and filtering to analyze the data. This provides a comprehensive view of attendee behavior to help hosts understand engagement and participation. - Zoom Events analytics provide enhanced event engagement insights
Hosts can view a Zoom Events analytics table to view aggregated event engagement metrics. The table includes attendee counts for live and on-demand events, content consumption metrics (session views and downloads), and engagement metrics (chat messages and connections made). Hosts can track up to 50 different metrics to understand engagement and measure event success. The table updates daily and provides insights to help hosts understand if their events are successful in driving engagement. - Custom Report Builder Column Selector
Hosts can select the columns they want to include in their custom report CSV file. When using the Custom Report tab's column selector, all columns that are considered primary key values are always included. The column names match the names in the output CSV file. Selected columns are included in the CSV file, and non-selected columns are excluded.
Note: Contact Zoom Support to discuss whether this feature is available for your account.
- Attendee features
- Enhancements to the join flow for verified one-time-password attendees
There are several enhancements to the join flow for verified one-time-password (OTP) attendees. OTP-verified attendees can join event lobbies from the event detail page without accessing their event tickets in their email. - Shareable passcode when joining Zoom Events across devices
Hosts can enable the Shareable Passcode feature when creating group join links for their single-session events. This allows attendees to use the same passcode when joining an event from any device like desktop, mobile, SIP/H.323 room systems, or PSTN. Attendees will join in their correct identity, based on the authentication method of the joining device.
- Developer features
- VOD List API
The List API allows hosts to retrieve a list of Video On Demand (VOD) channels. The List API returns all VOD channels, including the following fields:

If newly generated text is inserted, it will replace the existing text of the text component. Additionally, the response will be more relevant regarding the specific generation location. - Display sponsor logos in lobby
Hosts can enable or disable the option to display sponsor logos in the Zoom Events lobby. This allows hosts to showcase sponsor brands to attendees through a rotating logo carousel. Hosts can customize the order, placement, and size of the carousel. Each logo displays the sponsor's tier. When attendees click a logo, they are directed to a sponsor detail page. - Open and collapse the Event Capacity module
In the Event Configuration tab, hosts can open and collapse the Event Capacity module to customize oversell settings. This module will be collapsed with existing settings by default. - Enhancements to live session recording names for Video On Demand
Video On Demand (VOD) hosts can change live session recording names of uploaded videos. VOD hosts can edit recording names, which will update across the Zoom Events platform, including the hub recording list, playlists, channel pages, and video detail pages without changing the original source file name. The changed recording name is mapped to the original file in cloud recording settings on the Zoom web portal no matter how many times the user changes the name. VOD hosts will be directed to the cloud recording source file when they click Edit on the recording with a changed name.
- Hub features
- Inform hub users about video format requirements for Video On Demand
Hub users are informed that Video On Demand (VOD) supports videos in .mov, .mp4, .avi, .wmv, or H.264 format up to 5GB in size. Uploaded recordings will be converted to .mp4 format. Users can delete uploaded videos from the Zoom web portal under recordings. - Enhancements to event branding feature visibility
Account owners and admins can view the event branding feature details in the Zoom web portal's Branding section (under Advanced ), even if they don't have edit permissions. Hub users with access to hub settings can also see instructive summaries on how to use the event branding feature.
- Integration features
- Add Lead ID attribute to alternative field mapping in Marketo
The Lead ID option can be selected as the unique key for lead matching in Marketo. This gives account owners and admins another unique key match for Marketo integrations. The lead ID is automatically assigned by Marketo and is completely unique.
- Meeting & Webinar features
- Enhancements to the Resources panel navigation in Zoom Workplace app
The Resources panel in the Zoom Workplace app has been redesigned to improve the overall user experience for both hosts and attendees. Hosts can activate multiple resource links at once and manage resources to allow attendees to access only what is available to them. For attendees, the updated panel only displays active resource tabs available to them, reducing clutter. If no resources are active, the Resources icon is hidden from the toolbar. - View main stage in Backstage before webinar starts for attendees
Hosts and panelists can view the main stage in Zoom Webinar Backstage even when the webinar is not yet open for attendees. The Live Feed preview will display what's happening on the main stage instead of showing an Off Air message. This enhancement allows hosts and panelists to practice and familiarize themselves with the Backstage experience before attendees join.
- Payments & Billing features
- Automated Stripe payouts and extended registration periods
Hosts can use automated weekly payouts via Stripe instead of manual platform controls. This provides faster payouts for event organizers. The default payout schedule is weekly. The paid registration/ticket period is also extended to 1 year for all 28 countries. Additionally, there are several enhancements to the hub Billing settings page and registration disclaimers. - Automated Paypal payouts for Zoom Events and extended registration periods
Hosts no longer need to manually control Zoom Events payouts via PayPal. Payouts will happen automatically. In addition, paid event registrations can be scheduled up to 1 year in advance. This provides more flexibility for scheduling longer events.

Zoom Events and Zoom Sessions users can provide product feedback using the new feedback survey on the Zoom Events portal.

If PQ E2EE is unsupported by any participant's device, the meeting will default to standard end-to-end encryption (E2EE) when enabled. Additionally, the user interface is updated so that when meeting participants click the shield icon in the meeting window, next to Encryption, they’ll see one of the following encryption labels: Enhanced, End-to-end encrypted, or Post-quantum end-to-end encrypted. - Onsite poll QR code sharing - Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, iOS
Users can participate in polls seamlessly during a meeting by scanning a QR code displayed by the host, allowing both online and in-room participants to engage simultaneously. This update includes a browser pop-up for the QR code and options for manual sharing, significantly improving interaction and inclusivity in diverse meeting setups. - View custom disclaimer when AI Companion is enabled in a meeting - Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, iOS
If enabled by an account owner or admin, meeting participants will see a custom disclaimer when an AI Companion feature is enabled in a meeting for the first time or when an AI Companion feature is set to auto-start. Following similar disclaimers in the Zoom platform, users will have the choice to leave or remain in the meeting. This feature will not be immediately available, as it is dependent on a backend server update currently scheduled for May 24, 2024.
- Webinar features
- Enhancements to webinar join experience and email collection - Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, iOS
When the webinar host requires attendees to sign in to Zoom and chooses to collect email addresses for the attendee report, attendees will be prompted to enter their email. The email entered must match the address used to sign in to Zoom. This will ensure the accuracy of collected emails and provide a smoother join experience for webinar attendees. - Optimized video quality streaming for simulive webinars - Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, iOS
Simulive webinars stream at the highest quality that each attendee's device can handle. Previously, if one attendee's device couldn't handle 1080p, the quality would downgrade for all webinar attendees. The video quality is optimized for each attendee based on their device and network capabilities. Users with sufficient bandwidth and processing power will consistently receive 1080p quality.
- Team Chat features
- Team Chat Quick Reply with Zoom AI Companion - Android, iOS
Team Chat users can use Zoom AI Companion to facilitate quick responses within chat, streamlining the process of replying to messages. With this feature enabled, the system can provide suggested phrases and users can simply click on a suggested phrase to respond to a message. Currently, this feature is available for mobile users. - Alert users of exceeding character limit while composing a message - Windows, macOS, Linux
To enhance the user experience, real-time notifications will alert users when they reach the character limit while composing a message in Team Chat, continuous meeting chat, and in-meeting chat. This will ensure that users are aware of the limit before attempting to send the message. Additionally, the real-time display of the character count deficit will enable users to promptly edit their message and adhere to the character limit. - Consistent unfurling support across in-meeting chat and Team Chat - Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, iOS
The functionality of content unfurling in the in-meeting chat feature will now match that of Team Chat. This allows users to preview links shared in continuous meeting chat before opening them.

- Phone features
- Select correct Zendesk contact when a phone number matches multiple contacts in Zoom Phone app – Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, Android
The Zoom Phone app integrated with Zendesk has been enhanced to handle situations where a phone number matches multiple Zendesk contacts. When a match occurs, users will see an indication next to the contact info showing the number of matches. This indication is clickable, opening a pop-up window where users can view contact details and choose the correct contact. After confirming their selection, a Zendesk ticket will be created for the selected contact. This improves the user experience by preventing tickets from being created against the wrong contact. Additionally, an admin setting has been added to enable or disable this multiple contact selection feature. - Enable hosts to temporarily hold participants in multi-party calls – Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, Android
The conference host and co-host of a multi-party call can temporarily put one or all participants on hold. The host can toggle participants between being held or unheld. When a participant is held, they only hear the hold music set at the account level and cannot hear the main call. This enables hosts to have private conversations within a multi-party call. Hosts have options to start calls with all held, hold all at once, unhold all at once, hold individuals, and unhold individuals.
Note: Account owners and admins must contact Zoom Support to enable the Multi Party Conferencing feature for their account.
- Contact Center features
- New searchable skills drop-down when transferring to queue with routing profile - Windows, macOS, Linux

It allows faster completion of transfers to queues with routing profiles. This applies to Zoom Contact Center channels where the skills modal is shown such as Zoom desktop app and Zoom Web App. - Persist outbound caller ID selection for agents across sessions - Windows, macOS, Linux
Agents can now persist their last used outbound number when sending SMS or voice engagements. Once an agent selects their outbound number, this selection will be remembered across clients within Contact Center. This enhances the agent experience by removing the need to re-select the same outbound number every time they log in or switch clients. Overall, it saves agents time and simplifies workflows when handling outbound SMS and voice engagements. - Sound alerts for new unread messages - Windows, macOS, Linux
When enabled, agents will hear a sound notification when they receive a new unread message for a background engagement they have open. This helps ensure agents receive audio reminders of messages needing a response when they are multitasking between engagements or applications. By notifying agents of messages requiring their attention, this improves agent productivity and consumer satisfaction. This feature must be enabled by Zoom.
