Enabling or disabling Zoom Canvas

Enabling the Zoom Canvas feature allows users to collaborate on virtual documents during or outside of meetings. By default, Zoom Canvas is enabled for most accounts, but account owners and administrators can enable or disable it for certain users or user groups, or for the entire account.

How to enable or disable In-meeting Canvas usage

Enable or disable In-meeting Canvas usage at the account level

  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal.
  2. Click Account Management, then Account Settings.
  3. Click the Canvas tab.
  4. Under the In-meeting Canvas section, click the Enable Zoom Canvas in meetings toggle to enable or disable the option.
  5. If a verification dialog appears, click Enable or Disable to verify the change.
  6. (Optional) To prevent all users in your account from changing these settings, click the lock icon , and then click Lock to confirm the setting.

Enable or disable In-meeting Canvas usage at the group level

  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal.
  2. In the navigation menu, click User Management then Groups.
  3. Click the applicable group name from the list.
  4. Click the Canvas tab.
  5. Under the In-meeting Canvas section, click the Enable Zoom Canvas in meetings toggle to enable or disable the option.
  6. If a verification dialog appears, click Enable or Disable to verify the change.
  7. (Optional) To prevent all users in the group from changing these settings, click the lock icon , and then click Lock to confirm the setting.

Enable or disable Out-of-meeting Canvas usage  at the account level

  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal.
  2. Click Account Management, then Account Settings.
  3. Click the Canvas tab.
  4. Under the Out-of-Meeting Canvas section, click the Enable Zoom Canvas out-of-meetings toggle to enable or disable the option.
  5. If a verification dialog appears, click Enable or Disable to verify the change.
  6. (Optional) To prevent all users in your account from changing these settings, click the lock icon , and then click Lock to confirm the setting.
