Connecting with Provider Exchange partners
Zoom Phone and Zoom Contact Center users can procure telecommunications connectivity, such as phone numbers and calling plans from one or more Provider Exchange partners, based on their geographic coverage and commercial needs.
Zoom Phone and Zoom Contact Center users can discover partners, select partners, and initiate connection requests with the selected partners through the Zoom admin web portal.
Requirements for connecting with Provider Exchange partners with Number Management
- Pro, Business, or Education account
- Account owner or admin privileges
- Zoom Contact Center license
- Zoom Phone license
- Zoom Phone toll-free license to obtain a toll-free phone number
- User assigned a calling package to be assigned a phone number
How to view Provider Exchange page information
The Provider Exchange page displays the following information about Provider Exchange partners:
- Country/Region: Displays the provider exchange partner's country or region.
- Provider Name: Displays the provider exchange partner's name.
- Supported Services: Displays the provider exchange partner's number type and supported services.
- Connection Type: Displays the provider exchange partner's connection type name.
- Status: Displays the provider exchange partner's connection status.
- Active Date: Displays the provider exchange partner's active date.
How to connect with Provider Exchange partners with Number Management
- Sign in to the Zoom web portal as an admin with the privilege to edit account settings.
- In the navigation menu, click Number Management then Provider Exchange.
- At the top of the page, sort and filter the Provider Exchange results:
- Click the Select Country/Region dropdown and select a country.
- Use the search bar to search by provider name.
- View and select providers for the selected countries that meet the following requirements:
- The required number type is Toll and/or Toll-Free.
- The following are acceptable connection types:
- Internet Peering: Indicates that the partners are connected over the internet and connectivity/quality is the best effort only. Coverage may be limited to Internet Peering for some countries.
- Private Peering: Indicates that partners use private circuits for higher stability.
- Click a partner’s website to view additional details about the service and contact information for purchasing their services.
- To the right of a provider exchange partner you want to connect with, under the Status column, click Connect to initiate the connection request with the selected partner.
A provider authorization confirmation window will appear.
Note: By initiating the connection request, you are authorizing the partners to access your Zoom account to add phone numbers to your account. You may initiate connection requests before a commercial relationship, but the partners will only provide phone numbers after the commercial relationship is established. Partners will provision the phone numbers based on your commercial agreement. - In the window, enter the Account Name exactly as it is listed in the Zoom admin web portal.
- To find your account name in the Zoom web portal:
- Sign in to the Zoom web portal as an admin with the privilege to edit account settings.
- In the navigation menu, click Account Management then Account Profile.
- Under Basic Information, to the right of Account Name, view your account name.
- Authorize and grant this provider the ability to provision and manage numbers in your account.
How to assign the list of phone numbers provisioned by the partners
After you connect with Provider Exchange partners, you will be able to assign numbers to Zoom Phone numbers or Zoom Contact Centers as appropriate.
- Sign in to the Zoom web portal as an admin with the privilege to edit account settings.
- In the navigation menu, click Number Management then Phone Numbers.
- View the list of phone numbers provisioned by the partners.
- To the right of a phone number, click Assign.
A pop-up window will appear. - In the window, assign phone numbers to Zoom Phone numbers or Zoom Contact Centers, then click Save.
