Enabling or disabling Canvas content generation and revision with AI Companion

Account owners and admins can control the use of AI Companion to generate and revise content within Zoom Docs on their accounts. This feature uses AI technology, which may include third-party models, and can be enabled at the account and group levels. To prevent users from using the feature, it can be hidden and locked at the account level.

Requirements for enabling or disabling Canvas content generation and revision with AI Companion

• Pro, Pro Plus, Business, Business Plus, Education, or Enterprise account
  Note: Basic accounts may have the option to enable AI features, but these features will not be accessible until the account is upgraded to a Pro account.
• Account owner or admin privileges
• Zoom Canvas enabled by admin

Note: AI Companion features may not be available for select verticals and select regional customers.

How to enable or disable Canvas content generation and revision with AI Companion

Enabling this feature allows your users to generate and revise content within their Zoom Canvas. You can hide this feature if you don’t want them to use AI for content.

Account

1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal.
2. In the navigation menu, click Account Management then Account Settings.
3. Click the AI Companion tab.
4. Under Canvas, click the Canvas content generation and revision with AI Companion toggle to enable or disable it.
5. If a verification dialog appears, click Enable or Disable to verify the change.
6. (Optional) To prevent all users in your account from changing these settings, click the lock icon  , and then click Lock to confirm the setting.

Hide Canvas content generation and revision with AI Companion

You can disable AI Companion to prevent your users from generating and revising content in Zoom Canvas. When you disable this feature, it applies to the entire account and cannot be applied at the group or user level.

1. Follow the above section to disable Canvas content generation and revision with AI Companion, then to the right of Shown in Canvas, click Hide.
2. Click Save.
   AI Companion will not be available for users to generate and revise content in Zoom Canvas.

Show Canvas content generation and revision with AI Companion

If you hide AI Companion to prevent your users from generating and revising content in Zoom Canvas but desire to make the feature visible follow these steps. When you enable this feature, it applies to the entire account.

1. Follow the above section to enable Canvas content generation and revision with AI Companion, then to the right of Shown in Canvas, click Show.
2. Click Save.
   AI Companion will be available for users to generate and revise content in Zoom Canvas.

Group

1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal.
2. In the navigation menu, click User Management then Groups.
3. Click the applicable group name from the list.
4. Click the AI Companion tab.
5. Under Canvas, click the Canvas content generation and revision with AI Companion toggle to enable or disable it.
6. If a verification dialog appears, click Enable or Disable to verify the change.
