Enabling or disabling synchronized presence from Zoom to Microsoft

Presence synchronization from Zoom to Microsoft allows users to have their Zoom presence reflected in Microsoft 365. This capability requires users to authenticate and authorize their Microsoft account through the Zoom web portal. This allows the integration to synchronize user's Zoom Presence through to Microsoft and reflected in apps like Microsoft Teams, Outlook, SharePoint and more.

How to enable or disable synchronized presence from Zoom to Microsoft

Account

To enable synchronized presence from Zoom to Microsoft for all users on the account:

  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal as an admin with the privilege to edit account settings.
  2. In the navigation menu, click Account Management then Account Settings.
  3. Click the Mail & Calendar tab.
  4. Under Integrations, click the Calendar and contacts integration toggle to enable or disable it.
  5. If a verification dialog appears, click Enable or Disable to verify the change.
  6. Under Choose default calendar and contact services for users, select Office 365.
  7. Under Authorize with, select Graph API.
  8. Under Choose your permissions then Presence, select the Write checkbox.
  9. Click Save.

Group

To enable synchronized presence from Zoom to Microsoft for a group of users:

  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal as an admin.
  2. In the navigation menu, click User Management then Groups.
  3. Click the name of the group you wish to configure.
  4. Click the Mail & Calendar tab.
  5. Under Integrations, click the Calendar and contacts integration toggle to enable or disable it.
  6. If a verification dialog appears, click Enable or Disable to verify the change.
  7. Under Choose default calendar and contact services for users, select Office 365.
  8. Under Authorize with, select Graph API.
  9. Under Choose your permissions then Presence, select the Write checkbox.
  10. Click Save.
