Release notes for August 15, 2024
New and enhanced features
- Admin features
- Support Webhooks for API
With Webhooks for API, Zoom Scheduler users can integrate different systems and automate workflows, enabling admins to authorize third parties to trigger actions during the booking process. - Ability to view a calendar connection to Zoom Scheduler and send configuration email reminders
Account owners and admins can view a list of users who have connected their calendars to Zoom Scheduler. They can also view the connection status for each user, indicating if their calendar is connected, has an error, or is not connected. Admins can search for specific users to check their calendar connection status and send them email reminders to complete the setup process to maximize the use of the Zoom Scheduler license assigned to them. - Grant scheduler admin permission to a user/group
Users can be assigned admin access in Zoom Scheduler without being an admin for the Zoom account as a whole. Account owners and admins can assign the Scheduler Admin property to a user or group, granting them admin privileges within Zoom Scheduler. These privileges include the ability to view all booking links and events, create booking links for others, access admin reporting and analytics, create routing forms and managed templates, manage teams and groups, and access the Scheduler management tab. This allows for more granular control over admin permissions, ensuring users have the necessary access without granting full account admin rights.
- Host features
- Support email reminders for team events
Hosts can customize and send email reminders for team events. The reminder email is sent to all participants (hosts and invitees) 24 hours before the scheduled start time of the team event and will include event details such as the meeting title, date, time, and Zoom meeting link. Additionally, the host can customize the email template and content to provide flexibility in messaging and branding. Previously, only single host events received reminder emails. - Ability to automatically include additional recipients on meeting invites
When creating a bookable schedule, hosts can specify up to a maximum of 10 email addresses to be automatically included as CC recipients on meeting invites generated through that schedule's booking link. The designated CC email addresses will receive the meeting invite along with the host and attendees. This feature applies to all event types that allow attendees to add guests. Any changes to the CC email list will only affect newly created appointments, not previously booked events. - Ignore calendar availability for one-off or any event type
A new toggle allows hosts to generate available time slots while ignoring their own calendar availability. This applies to one-off meetings by default, but hosts can also choose to ignore availability for any event type. Even when the toggle is on, hosts can still view their existing calendar events and schedule over them as needed. The ability to bypass calendar availability provides greater scheduling flexibility for hosts.
