Black/Grey boxes over screen share on Windows computer

Issue

When sharing a screen on a Windows 10, 11 PC with the latest version of the Zoom Desktop Client, the Zoom windows appear as gray or black boxes.

The only setting that allows the gray boxes to disappear is Advanced Share without window filtering. The gray or black boxes disappear but are still visible in the screen share even though the Show Zoom Windows when Screen Sharing feature is turned off.

 

Environment

  • Zoom Client: 6.0.X
  • Windows OS 11
  • Intel® Graphics Driver: 32.0.101.5768
  • Windows 10, 11 with Intel® Arc™ A-Series Graphics, Intel® Iris® Xe Graphics, or Intel® Core™ Ultra Processors with Intel® Arc™ Graphics.

Cause

Intel has identified the issue of the Graphics driver and released a new driver to address this issue.

Resolution

To resolve this issue you can download and install driver Intel® Graphics Driver 32.0.101.5972 (WHQL Certified) or the latest driver.
Note: From the Intel page, under Version, click the drop-down to access the necessary driver.
