Embedding links or pages within Zoom Docs
Zoom Docs enables you to embed selected URLs directly into your documents, providing content previews, including your Google Drive content.
Note: Viewing embed page or link information is only available when using Zoom Docs from a web browser and is not supported on the Zoom Workplace client at this time.
Prerequisites for embedding URLs into your document
- Basic, Pro, Pro Plus, Business, Business Plus, Education, or Enterprise account
- Zoom desktop app for Windows, macOS, or Linux: 6.2.0 or higher
- Zoom mobile app for Android or iOS: 6.2.0 or higher
- Zoom Docs enabled by admin
How to embed a link or page into your document
- Create or access your document.
- In the body of the document, type /Embed, then select one of the following to embed:
- Youtube: A Youtube video link.
- X (formerly Twitter): An X thread link.
- Figma: A Figma content link.
- Google Drive: A Google Drive file link.
Note: You will be required to connect to your Google Drive account if you are not connected.
- In the Link or page dialog box, enter or paste the page's URL, then click Save.
- Highlight the displayed view, then in the toolbar, select one of the following to change how the page is embedded in your document:
- Embed view: Displays the content in a window within the document.
Notes:
- The link or page will display the Embed view by default.
- You can preview PDF content within your Zoom Doc.
- Link view: Displays the content as a standard clickable hyperlink.
Note: If you copy and paste a link in the doc, the link or page will display the Link view by default. - Card view: Shows a card with the title, a short description, and a link to the content.
- Preview: Preview the content in a window within the document.
Notes:
- This functionality is available for Google Drive files connected to your Google Drive account.
- Google Drive content shared to Zoom Docs is visible to anyone who has access to the Zoom doc regardless of the content’s permissions or settings.
