Adding Dropbox files into Zoom Whiteboard
The Dropbox integration allows users to connect to their Dropbox accounts, select files, and add them to the Whiteboard canvas. This feature allows users to easily access relevant documents and annotate them together in real-time, enhancing collaboration without the need to switch between platforms.

How to connect your Dropbox account in Zoom Whiteboard
- Create or open a whiteboard.
- In the toolbar on the left side of the screen, click the Dropbox icon.
- In the Dropbox popup, sign in to Dropbox. You may need to enable browser cookies and popups for both Zoom and Dropbox.
- Select your Dropbox account.
- Click Allow to grant the Zoom app access to your Dropbox files.
- Click Confirm.
A success message will appear. - Close the tab and return to the whiteboard screen.
You will see the Dropbox window, where you can select and upload your files from Dropbox.
How to add Dropbox files into the Whiteboard
- Click the Dropbox icon from the left menu.
- Select the file you want to add into the whiteboard canvas.
- Click Select.
The selected file will be added to the canvas.
How to manage the uploaded file from Dropbox
Click the uploaded file to open the selection toolbar. In the selection toolbar, you can:
- Click the Linkout icon to open the file in another window or external link.
- Click the Refresh icon to refresh the file and ensure the latest content or updates are visible.
- Click the Download File icon to download the file to your device.
- Click the Extract Pages icon to extract specific pages or content from the file.
- Click the Previous or Next icons to navigate between pages of the file.
- Click the Lock icon to lock the selected file.
Important note on linking: When pasting Dropbox links on the canvas, a file preview will automatically be created if the link is public. However, please note that if the link settings change for the file, the embed view may no longer display correctly.
