Hiding calls in iOS device call history

Account owners and admins can enable a policy to hide Zoom Phone calls from appearing in the iOS and iPadOS device call history. When enabled, the policy sets the default value of the Zoom app setting Hide phone calls in device call history to on, preventing Zoom Phone calls from being added to the device's Recents list.

How to enable or disable hiding Zoom Phone calls in iOS/iPadOS device call history

Account

To enable or disable Hide Zoom Phone calls in iOS/iPadOS device call history for all users in the account:

  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal as an admin with the privilege to edit account settings.
  2. In the navigation menu, click Account Management then Account Settings.
  3. Click the Zoom Phone tab.
  4. Under General, click the Hide Zoom Phone calls in iOS/iPadOS device call history toggle to enable or disable it.
  5. If a verification dialog appears, click Enable or Disable to verify the change.
  6. (Optional) To prevent all users in your account from changing this setting, click the lock icon , and then click Lock to confirm the setting.
    Note: When this setting is locked, users in your account will not be able to change the Hide Zoom Phone calls in iOS/iPadOS device call history setting in the Zoom Workplace app.

Group

To enable or disable Hide Zoom Phone calls in iOS/iPadOS device call history for a group of users:

  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal as an admin with the privilege to edit groups.
  2. In the navigation menu, click User Management then Groups.
  3. Click the applicable group name from the list.
  4. Click the Zoom Phone tab.
  5. Under General, click the Hide Zoom Phone calls in iOS/iPadOS device call history toggle to enable or disable it.
  6. If a verification dialog appears, click Enable or Disable to verify the change.
    Note: If the option is grayed out, it has been locked at the account level and needs to be changed at that level.
  7. (Optional) To prevent all users in the group from changing this setting, click the lock icon , and then click Lock to confirm the setting.
    Note: When this setting is locked, group users will not be able to change the Hide Zoom Phone calls in iOS/iPadOS device call history setting in the Zoom Workplace app.

Site

To enable or disable Hide Zoom Phone calls in iOS/iPadOS device call history for a site:

  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal as an admin with the privilege to edit sites.
  2. In the navigation menu, click Phone System Management then Company Info.
  3. Click the applicable site name from the list.
  4. Click the Policy tab.
  5. Under General, click the Hide Zoom Phone calls in iOS/iPadOS device call history toggle to enable or disable it.
  6. If a verification dialog appears, click Enable or Disable to verify the change.
    Note: If the option is grayed out, it has been locked at the account level. You need to contact your Zoom admin.

  3. Click the Users tab.
  4. Click the applicable phone user name from the list.
  5. Click the Policy tab.
  6. Under General, click the Hide Zoom Phone calls in iOS/iPadOS device call history toggle to enable or disable it.
  7. If a verification dialog appears, click Enable or Disable to verify the change.
    Note: If the option is grayed out, it has been locked at either the group or account level. You need to contact your Zoom admin.

Common area

To enable or disable Hide Zoom Phone calls in iOS/iPadOS device call history for a common area:

  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal as an admin with the privilege to edit common areas.
  2. In the navigation menu, click Phone System Management then Users & Rooms.
  3. Click the Common Areas tab.
  4. Click the applicable common area name from the list.
  5. Click the Policy tab.
  6. Under General, click the Hide Zoom Phone calls in iOS/iPadOS device call history toggle to enable or disable it.
  7. If a verification dialog appears, click Enable or Disable to verify the change.
    Note: If the option is grayed out, it has been locked at either the group or account level. You need to contact your Zoom admin.

How to hide Zoom Phone calls from iOS or iPadOS device call history

Users can hide Zoom Phone calls from appearing in the call history of their iOS/iPadOS devices. This setting can be enabled under the Phone settings in the Zoom Workplace app. This allows them to maintain separation between personal and professional calls on their mobile devices.

iOS
  1. Sign in to the Zoom mobile app.
  2. Tap More .
  3. Under Settings, tap Phone .
  4. Tap the Hide Zoom Phone calls in iOS/iPadOS device call history toggle to enable or disable it.
    Note: If the option is grayed out, it has been locked at the account level. The message, This feature has been locked will be displayed under the setting. You need to contact your Zoom admin.

Once enabled, it will set the default value of the Zoom app setting Hide phone calls in device call history to be on so Zoom Phone calls will stop being added to the iOS/iPadOS device's Recents list.
