Enabling and disabling Zoom Tasks
Zoom Tasks enables users to create, track, and manage action items seamlessly within the Zoom platforms. By default, Zoom Tasks is enabled for most accounts, but account owners and administrators can enable or disable it for specific users or user groups or for the entire account.
Requirements for enabling or disabling Zoom Tasks
- Administrator privileges in the Zoom web portal to enable at account or group level
Note: Zoom Tasks may not be available for select verticals and select regional customers.
How to enable or disable Zoom Tasks
Account
To enable or disable Zoom Tasks for all users in the account:
- Sign in to the Zoom web portal as an admin with the privilege to edit account settings.
- In the navigation menu, click Account Management, then Account Settings.
- Click the Tasks tab.
- Click the Enable Zoom Tasks toggle to enable or disable it.
- The settings below are enabled by default if Enable Zoom Tasks is enabled:
- Allow users to assign tasks and manage collaborators: Allows users ability to assign other users as an assignee or as a collaborator.
- Allow users to upload attachments to tasks: Allows users to attach files to tasks.
- Receive an email notification when you are assigned a task: User will receive an email when they have been assigned a task.
- Receive a chat notification when you are assigned a task: User will receive a chat notification when they have been assigned a task.
- (Optional) To prevent all users in your account from changing this setting, click the lock icon
, and then click Lock to confirm the setting.
Group
To enable or disable Zoom Tasks for a group of users:
- Sign in to the Zoom web portal as an admin with the privilege to edit groups.
- In the navigation menu, click User Management, then Groups.
- Click the applicable group name from the list.
- Click the Tasks tab.
- Click the Enable Zoom Tasks toggle to enable or disable it.
- If a verification dialog displays, click Enable or Disable to verify the change.
Note: If the option is grayed out, it has been locked at the account level and needs to be changed at that level. - The settings below are enabled by default if Enable Zoom Tasks is enabled:
