Using AI Companion to generate and manage tasks

With Zoom Tasks and AI Companion, users can have AI Companion recommend new tasks based on meeting summaries and meeting and phone transcripts. In addition, AI Companion can recommend steps for managing and completing tasks as well.

Requirements for using AI Companion with Zoom Tasks

A Licensed user on a Zoom Workplace Pro, Zoom Workplace Pro Plus, Zoom Workplace Business, Zoom Workplace Business Plus, Zoom Workplace Enterprise, Zoom Workplace Enterprise Plus, or Enterprise Bundle account
Zoom Tasks enabled
Task creation and management with AI Companion enabled
Zoom Workplace desktop app for Windows, macOS, or Linux: 6.4.3 or higher

Note: AI Companion may not be available for select verticals and select regional customers.

How to view tasks generated for a meeting within a Meeting Summary

Sign in to the Zoom Workplace desktop app.
Locate the desired Meeting Summary.
Under Next Steps, tasks that were recommended from the Meeting Summary will be displayed.
Note: Depending on the host's settings, you may also be able to view the task even if you were not the assignee.

How to view tasks generated for a meeting within Zoom Calendar

Sign in to the Zoom Workplace desktop app.
Click the Calendar tab .
Click a past calendar event to see more details.
Under Next Steps, tasks that were recommended from the Meeting Summary will be displayed.
If a task has been assigned to you already, you can click on the task to view more details, or click the checkbox to complete to the task.
Note: Depending on the host's settings, you may also be able to view the task even if you were not the assignee.

How to manage tasks generated via AI Companion

Windows | macOS | Linux

Sign in to the Zoom Workplace desktop app.
Click the Tasks tab .
In the Tasks navigation menu, click Recommended.
Tasks generated via AI Companion will be displayed and grouped by the associated Meeting.
(Optional) Click the dropdown to select whether to view Recommended for me or Recommended for anyone.
(Optional) Click the add icon to add an Assignee.
Click Accept to add the task.
(Optional) To delete a task, click the More button , then click Delete.

Web

Sign in to the Zoom web portal.
In the navigation menu, click Tasks.
In the Tasks navigation menu, click Recommended.
Tasks generated via AI Companion will be displayed and grouped by the associated Meeting.
(Optional) Click the dropdown to select whether to view Recommended for me or Recommended for anyone.
(Optional) Click the add icon to add an Assignee.

How to have AI companion suggest steps to complete a task

Sign in to the Zoom Workplace desktop app.
Click the Tasks tab .
In the Tasks navigation menu, click My Tasks.
Hover your mouse over the task name and click the AI Companion actions button.
Select an action from the menu:
- Under Suggested action, click the suggested action item for the task.
- Under Other actions, click an action that was not suggested.
- Click Ask AI Companion to have AI Companion suggest additional ways to complete the task.
