Users with a Power Pack license can schedule SMS messages to be sent at a specific date, time, and time zone in the future. They can manage scheduled messages by viewing, editing, and deleting them. If a scheduled message fails to send, users can force an immediate send, cancel, or reschedule it.
Additionally, account owners or admins can enable or disable this feature at the account, site, group, or user levels and increase the limits on scheduled messages per thread and concurrent scheduled messages.
This feature helps users communicate more effectively with recipients in different time zones.
Notes:
This setting is only available with Zoom app version 6.3.0 or later.
The user must have a Power Pack license for this feature to work.
Requirements for scheduling SMS messages for future delivery
Zoom desktop app for Windows, macOS, or Linux: 6.3.0 or higher
Zoom mobile app for Android or iOS: 6.3.0 or higher
Limitations for scheduling SMS messages for future delivery
Scheduling SMS messages for future delivery has the following limitations:
SMS is not supported on desk phones.
Extension-only phone users cannot use SMS.
SMS and MMS (domestic) are only available for US, Canada, and Australia numbers, only with the purchase of a calling plan. This is available to use for direct numbers (not company numbers).
Scheduling functionality currently only applies to 1:1 or group messages.
When viewing scheduled messages, the user will see all messages. However, the user can only click and edit the last 250 messages. For the 251st message and beyond, the user can delete but not edit the message. This limitation will be improved in a future release.
Synchronizing scheduled messages between mobile and desktop will synchronize the text but not images.
Users cannot schedule messages to be sent during restricted hours. If a user schedules an SMS to go out during a restricted period, the user will receive an error message that says that the message could not be sent at that time.
