Troubleshooting the Revenue Acclerator recorder for meetings
There are several reasons why the Revenue Accelerator recorder may not be able to join your Microsoft Teams or Zoom meetings. Review this article for steps on troubleshooting the Revenue Accelerator recorder.
How to troubleshoot issues with the Revenue Accelerator recorder not joining Microsoft Teams meetings
The Revenue Accelerator recorder is not joining Microsoft Teams meetings because of the following reasons. Review these reasons to troubleshoot the Revenue Accelerator recorder:
- When the recorder times out, waiting for the host to admit it, the Revenue Accelerator recorder will not be able to join if the host has a Waiting Room enabled and the host of the meeting does not admit the recorder into the meeting within 20 minutes.
- The meeting is configured to block unverified users from joining. The Revenue Accelerator recorder will not be able to join if the meeting is configured to prevent anonymous users from joining. The Revenue Accelerator recorder uses the Microsoft Teams SDK, which will always join as an anonymous/unverified user. See this article for more information on anonymous meeting join.
- The meeting was scheduled using a personal Microsoft Teams account. The Revenue Accelerator recorder uses the Microsoft Teams SDK, which is not supported for personal Teams accounts. Meetings scheduled using a personal Teams account will appear on your ZRA dashboard, but the record toggle will be locked and disabled.
- Revenue Accelerator was not aware of the scheduled meeting. To ensure Revenue Accelerator is able to join your scheduled meetings, it is recommended that you do 1 or more of the following:
- Ensure your calendar is integrated and configure automatic recording for Microsoft Teams meetings.
- Enable the Recording toggle for your upcoming Teams meetings on your Revenue Accelerator dashboard.
- Add the Revenue Accelerator recorder email address as a participant to your scheduled Teams meetings.
How to troubleshoot issues with the Revenue Accelerator recorder not joining external Zoom meetings
The Revenue Accelerator recorder is not joining Zoom meetings because of the following reasons. Review these reasons to troubleshoot the Revenue Accelerator recorder:
- The recorder timed out waiting for the host to admit it. The Revenue Accelerator recorder will not be able to join if the host has a Waiting Room enabled and the host of the meeting does not admit the recorder into the meeting.
- The meeting is configured with local recording disabled. The Revenue Accelerator recorder requires local recording to function properly. If the meeting host has disabled local recording, Revenue Accelerator will not be able to record the meeting. The meeting will be displayed on your Revenue Accelerator dashboard with the Recording toggle disabled and locked. Hovering over the toggle will display Local recording is disabled by the host.
- The host denied the local recording request or did not respond to the request in time. Meeting hosts receive a prompt requesting permission for Revenue Accelerator to record the meeting. If the host declines the request or does not respond within 30 seconds, the meeting recorder will leave the meeting. If the host does not join the meeting, Revenue Accelerator will be unable to gain consent, and will not be able to record the meeting.
- The meeting is configured with authentication required. The Revenue Accelerator recorder is unable to join Zoom meetings as an authenticated user. If the host has required authentication to join the meeting, Revenue Accelerator will not be able to record the meeting. The meeting will be displayed on your Revenue Accelerator dashboard with the Recording toggle disabled and locked. Hovering over the toggle will display The meeting recorder cannot record this meeting because authentication is required.
- Revenue Accelerator was not aware of the scheduled meeting. To ensure Revenue Accelerator is able to join your scheduled meetings, it is recommended that you do 1 or more of the following:
- Ensure your calendar is integrated and configure automatic recording for external Zoom meetings.
- Enable the Recording toggle for your upcoming external Zoom meetings on your Revenue Accelerator dashboard.
- Add the Revenue Accelerator recorder email address as a participant to your scheduled external Zoom meetings.
