Scheduling workspace desks using Zoom for Outlook add-in and Zoom Chrome Extension

Users can now book workspace desks through the Zoom for Outlook add-in and Zoom Chrome extension. The desk booking option appears in a dropdown menu alongside room booking options in both add-ins. Users can select available desks and complete their reservations directly within their preferred calendar application. The desk's calendar must be in the same service as the user's in order for this to work.

How to book a desk using Zoom Outlook add-in

New Meeting

  1. Open your Outlook calendar.
  2. Click New Event to create a new calendar event.
  3. Click the Zoom Outlook add-in from the top menu and click Reserve a Workspace.
  4. Select the desk/room that you want to book.
  5. Click Save.
    The desk/room information will show under location.

Add a desk for an existing meeting

  1. Open your Outlook calendar.
  2. Select the meeting that you want to edit and click Edit Event.
  3. Click the Zoom Outlook add-in from the top menu and click Reserve a Workspace.
  4. Select the desk/room that you want to book.
  5. Click Save.

How to book a desk using the Zoom Chrome Extension

  1. Click the Zoom Chrome Extension button next to your Chrome address bar.
  2. Sign in to your Zoom account with either the Google sign-in method, email and password, or SSO. 
  3. Click Schedule a Meeting.
  4. Click the Rooms tab and select the desk or room that you want to add to your meeting.
  5. Click Save.
