Enabling or disabling tracked billable hours

Account owners and admins can enable or disable the billable hours feature for their account, and they can configure it to manually start and stop tracking billable hours or enable automatic tracking. When enabled, their account will have the ability to track and manage billable hours for phone calls and meetings. Users can assign client codes and add billing notes during or after a call, and download billable hours reports directly from Contacts.

Note: All customers using this feature will use the usage report.

How to enable or disable tracked billable hours

Account

To enable or disable Track Billable Hours for all users in the account:

  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal as an admin with the privilege to edit account settings.
  2. In the navigation menu, click Account Management then Account Settings.
  3. Click the General tab.
  4. Under Other, click the Track Billable Hours toggle to enable or disable it.
  5. If a verification dialog appears, click Enable or Disable to verify the change.
  6. After enabling this setting, select from one of the following options:
  7. Click Save.
  8. (Optional) To prevent all users in your account from changing this setting, click the lock icon , and then click Lock to confirm the setting.

Group

To enable or disable Track Billable Hours for a group of users:

  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal as an admin with the privilege to edit groups.
  2. In the navigation menu, click User Management then Groups.
  3. Click the applicable group name from the list.
  4. Click the General tab.
  5. Under Other, click the Track Billable Hours toggle to enable or disable it.
  6. If a verification dialog appears, click Enable or Disable to verify the change.
    Note: If the option is grayed out, it has been locked at the account level and needs to be changed at that level.
  7. After enabling this setting, select from one of the following options:
  8. Click Save.
  9. (Optional) To prevent all users in the group from changing this setting, click the lock icon , and then click Lock to confirm the setting.

User

To enable or disable Track Billable Hours for an account user you manage:

  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal as an admin with the privilege to edit account users.
  2. In the navigation menu, click User Management then Users.
  3. Click the applicable user name from the list.
  4. Click the Settings tab, then click General.
  5. Under Other, click the Track Billable Hours toggle to enable or disable it.
  6. If a verification dialog appears, click Enable or Disable to verify the change.
    Note: If the option is grayed out, it has been locked at the account level and needs to be changed at that level.
  7. After enabling this setting, select from one of the following options:
