Tracking billable hours for Zoom Phone calls Users have the ability to manually start and stop billable hour tracking during Zoom Phone calls. They can add client codes and notes to each interaction, as well as associate contacts. On the contact profile, users can view the activity history, edit billable hours, and generate reports for a specific contact or client code.

Limitation of tracking billable hours
Tracking billable hours has the following limitations:
This feature is only available to new online paid customers. The Track Billable Hours feature is only displayed for Zoom online paid plans. Basic and Enterprise (direct or indirect) plans are not included.

Start tracking billable hours
Make a Zoom Phone call .On the keypad, click the ellipsis , then click Start tracking billable hours . Select if you want to either Start tracking from now or Start tracking from the beginning of this call .
Pause and resume billable hours tracking
During a Zoom Phone call with billable hours tracking, pause billable hours tracking in the following ways:
On the keypad, click the ellipsis , then click Pause tracking billable hours . At the top of the keypad, to the right of Billable hours , click Pause .
Resume billable hours tracking in the following ways:
On the keypad, click the ellipsis , then click Resume tracking billable hours . At the top of the keypad, to the right of Billable hours (Paused) , click Resume .
Add billing notes and client codes
Start tracking billable hours .At the top of the keypad, to the right of Billable hours , click the ellipsis . The billing details pop-up will appear. In the pop-up, click Edit billing details . An Edit billing details pop-up window will appear. In the window, view and edit the billing details:
View the contact's name and the call's date/time. View the Billable hours time.Note : Billable hours can be edited after the call ends. In the Client code field, edit the client code. Under Billing notes , enter notes about the billable details.
Click Save .

Make a Zoom Phone call .On the keypad, tap the ellipsis , then tap Start tracking billable hours . Select if you want to either Start tracking from now or Start tracking from the beginning of this call .

On the keypad, tap the ellipsis , then tap Pause tracking billable hours . Use the Billable hours icon :
At the top of the keypad, tap the Billable hours icon , then tap View Details . You will be directed to the Billing details page. At the top of the Billing details page, tap Pause . The call's billable hours will be paused.
Resume billable hours tracking in the following ways:
On the keypad, tap the ellipsis , then tap Resume tracking billable hours . Use the Billable hours icon :
At the top of the keypad, tap the Billable hours icon, then tap View Details . You will be directed to the Billing details page. At the top of the Billing details page, tap Resume .
Add billing notes and client codes
Start tracking billable hours .On the keypad, tap the ellipsis , then tap View billing details . The Billing details window will appear. In the window, view and edit the billing details:
View the Billable hours time.Note : Billable hours can be edited after the call ends. In the Client code field, enter/edit the client code.Note : Enter 3–16 characters for the client code. Under Billing notes , enter notes about the billable details.
In the top-right corner, tap Save .
How to add an unknown contact
Billable phone calls with unknown contacts will not appear in your billable hours report.

Add an unknown contact during a billable phone call
Make a Zoom Phone call with billable hours tracking .At the top of the keypad, to the right of Billable hours , click the warning icon . A message will appear, informing you that billable phone calls with unknown contacts will not appear in your billable hours report. In the message, choose from the following options:
Create contact : Create new contact information for this unknown contact.Add to contact : Add this unknown contact's information to an existing contact.
Add unknown contacts after a billable phone call
Sign in to the Zoom desktop app. Click the Phone tab . Click the History tab. Access an unknown contact's billing details in the following ways:
Access the unknown contact's information panel:
Click a phone number that you want to view, then click View billing details .Note : If a call does not have a client code, then the View billing details and add client code option will appear instead. A pop-up window will appear. In the window, choose Create contact or Add to contact .
View more options with a contact:
To the right of a contact you want to view, click the ellipsis , then click View billing details .Note : If a call does not have a client code, then the View billing details and add client code menu option will appear instead. An edit window will appear. At the top of the window, view the warning message and choose Create contact or Add to contact .
Edit the billable hours details and click Save .

After you end the Zoom Phone call with billable hours , an edit window will immediately appear after the call ends for users to review and edit billable hours.
In the edit window, edit the following billable hours details:

Sign in to the Zoom mobile app. Tap the Phone tab . Tap the History tab. To the right of the call you want to manage, tap the ellipsis , then tap Mark as billable . You will be directed to the Billing details page, where you can edit the billable hours details . Edit the billable hours details and tap Save .
How to download reports
Windows | macOS
Sign in to the Zoom desktop app. Click the Contacts tab . To the right of a contact you want to view, click the ellipsis , then click Download billable hours report . A pop-up window will appear. In the window, under Billable date range , select the date range. Under Client code , select the client code. Click Download to download the billable hours report.
