Collecting MemLogs to diagnose desktop app issues
The memlog collection feature was designed to make troubleshooting and collecting detailed logs possible. Not all users are allowed by their admins or IT support to install the Zoom troubleshooting client.

How to collect memlogs to diagnose desktop app issues
- Sign in to the Zoom desktop app.
- Click your profile picture, then click the Settings.
- Under General, then Data & Privacy click Open diagnostic data viewer.
Note: Make sure that the Diagnostic data viewer (uses up to 200 MB of hard drive space) option is checked. - Click the gear settings
icon in the upper-right hand corner. - Click Memory log and check Autosave memory log option.
- Under Set memory log level, select All.
- Click Go to folder under Autosave memory log. If Autosave Memory Log is not enabled, then the Export Memory Log will need to be selected.
Note:
- Users will have the option to Enable or Disable the Auto Save the Memory Log setting and Export.
- Enabling the Autosave Memory Log will create the zoom.us folder under the %appdata%/Zoom/logs path.
- Disabling the Autosave Memory Log by unchecking Autosave Memory Log will allow users to only manually export their memlogs via Export Memory Log, where a new zipped file is generated each time the Export is selected.
- The Export Memory Log will only show if Autosave Memory Log is disabled.
- The zoom_feedback folder contains encrypted logs that are automatically written to the disk by default.
