Issue
Zoom is aware of an issue impacting customers receiving the following notification:
Turn On Reactions - “zoom.us” has turned off Reaction effects. Click the video icon and select Reactions to add more impact to your gestures.
Environment
This issue impacts users on macOS 15.2 through 15.3.1.
Resolution
Apple is investigating the issue and working with Zoom on a resolution. The issue is expected to be resolved in the upcoming macOS 15.4 release.
Workaround
Until the 15.4 release is available, you can try the following workaround to stop the Turn On Reactions prompt.
- Update your macOS to 15.3.1.
- Sign in to the Zoom desktop app.
- In the top-right corner, click your profile picture.
- Click Settings.
- Click the Video tab.
- In the Apple menu bar on your macOS, click the green video icon.
Note: If you are screen sharing (such as your desktop or what's displayed on an external monitor), click the purple screen share icon in the menu bar. - Below the camera name (such as "FaceTime HD Camera"), click Reactions to enable Apple video reactions.
- Click Reactions again to disable Apple video reactions.
- Restart your macOS device.
