Getting started with Custom AI Companion features
With Custom AI Companion, you can customize your Zoom experience with advanced AI features, including meeting summary templates, third-party integrations, custom avatars, and more. These features are designed to help meet unique organizational needs.
Custom AI Companion availability
Custom AI Companion is a paid add-on that requires a Zoom Workplace Pro or higher account. For more information, contact Sales.

How to enable or disable custom AI Companion features
You can control custom AI Companion features in the Zoom web portal. Account owners and admins can choose to enable or disable custom AI features for all users on the account or specific groups of users. Individual users can also enable or disable some AI features for their own use, if not locked by an admin at the account or group level.
- Sign in to the Zoom web portal.
- In the navigation menu, do one of the following:
- To enable or disable for all users on the account, click Account Management then Account Settings.
- To enable or disable for a group of users, click User Management then Groups and choose a group name from the list.
- To enable or disable for your own use, click Settings.
- Click the AI Companion tab.
- In the Custom AI Companion section, click the toggle next to a feature to enable or disable it.
Notes:
- Some AI Companion features are only available at the account and group levels.
- If a feature is grayed out, it has been locked at the account or group level and must be changed by an admin.
- (Optional) If you're an admin modifying account or group settings, click the lock icon to prevent users in the account or group from changing the settings.

Note on Data Usage
Zoom does not use any customer audio, video, chat, screen sharing, attachments or other communications-like content (such as poll results, whiteboard and reactions) to train Zoom’s or its third-party AI models.
