Existing Zoom Workplace features list in Feature Release Controls

In April 2024, we launched Meetings 6.0, a visual upgrade of our Zoom Meetings interface, which included a number of new features including multi-share, multi-speaker view, and floating emojis and more to improve the Meetings experience. To ensure all customers have access to this optimized experience, the features listed below will be available in Feature Release Controls on April 12, 2025, along with newly released features in April and going forward.

With Feature Release Controls, features will be released as “disabled and locked” for the period predefined by account admins (30, 60 or 90 days). We are defaulting this period to 30 days. If you do not take any action the features will be enabled on your Zoom account 30 days after release. As always, admins and owners have the option to disable features and settings within the Feature Release Controls framework and Zoom Account Settings anytime they want.

Frequently asked questions

Why are you making this change?

Zoom is committed to delivering exceptional customer value through our speed of innovation, our open platform approach, and enterprise-grade configuration capabilities. Feature Release Controls gives your admins and owners the ability to select a timeline they are comfortable with for evaluating newly released features based on their needs for testing functionality, security, and compliance that are required by organizational policy.

What is the longest I can postpone a feature or product from being automatically enabled for my account?

You can postpone a feature being introduced to your account for a maximum of 90-days using Feature Release Controls. Once a newly released product or feature appears in the Feature Release Controls console, you can turn it on directly, update the auto-enablement date, disable until you are ready to roll it out, or take no action and it will be enabled based on the period you have set up.  As always, admins and owners have the option to disable these features and settings within  Zoom Account Settings and in Feature Release Controls till the time the features are visible there.

Will I be notified when new features are released and show up in Feature Release Controls?

Customers can opt-in to get reminders to check the portal a select number of days before automatic release to see if there are any features they need to take action on.
You will receive an email notification about features that will be automatically enabled for your account in your selected number of days (before automatic release). See the How to manage email notifications for more information on how to set these notifications.
