Webinar Summary with Zoom AI Companion uses AI technology, which may include third-party models, and allows webinar hosts to initiate an AI-generated summary of their webinar. When the host enables this feature in a webinar, hosts and panelists may automatically receive a summary after the webinar ends, if the host chose to share it with them.
Webinar Summaries are sent through email and available on the Zoom web portal, making it easy for hosts and panelists to review the key points of the webinar and the topics that were discussed.
Requirements for using Webinar Summary with AI Companion
A Licensed user on a Zoom Workplace Pro, Zoom Workplace Pro Plus, Zoom Workplace Business, Zoom Workplace Business Plus, Zoom Workplace Enterprise, Zoom Workplace Enterprise Plus, or Enterprise Bundle account
Only the webinar host and co-host can start or stop the webinar summary through the webinar controls Note: Starting and stopping the summary will still result in a webinar summary of the discussion while the feature was enabled.
Note: AI Companion may not be available for select verticals and other select customers.
Limitations of Webinar Summary with AI Companion
Webinar Summary with AI Companion has the following limitations:
If you do not set your pronouns or choose not to share them in the webinar, the pronouns chosen by the Large Language Model (LLM) will be used instead when referring to you.
Webinar Summary with AI Companion is not available within breakout rooms.
You can start or stop Webinar Summary through the webinar controls for webinars you host. Webinar Summary only begins when the host or co-host clicks Start summary. Users can also adjust their settings to have Webinar Summary start as soon as the webinar launches. Note: This does not require the host to be present, as Webinar Summary generation will begin as soon as someone starts your webinar.
How to view the webinar summary
If the host enables sharing, webinar participants can access the summary through email. Anyone who receives the webinar summary may save and share it with apps and others. The account owner can access the webinar summary.
View email summary
Once a webinar summary is available, a copy of it is provided through email.
Access your email inbox.
Select the email with the same subject as the webinar topic to view the summary.
(Optional) In the body of the email, click Edit Summary Here. You will be prompted to sign in to your Zoom account (if you are not already) to continue editing the summary through the web portal. Note: Only the host has the Edit Summary Here option.

Share: Send the summary through email. You will be prompted to enter one or more email addresses or contact names, then click Share.

Delete: Delete the summary. Note: This action cannot be undone.
Supported languages for Webinar Summary with AI Companion
Webinar Summary can summarize webinar discussions in several languages. If more than one language is spoken in the webinar, the generated summary will be provided in the language used by the majority of participants, or the host’s speaking language if there is no clear majority.
For conversations in languages other than English, ensuring that your caption language is set correctly helps AI Companion accurately transcribe speech, improving the quality of the generated transcript for Webinar Summary. If captions are disabled or were not previously used, English is chosen by default. If they have previously been used, the previously utilized caption language will be used instead. If a mismatch is detected between your chosen spoken language and the language you are speaking, AI Companion will detect and adapt to the speaking language detected.
