While shift group managers can create and manage shift groups, during a shift, they can also supervise and monitor the shift directly from the Zoom Workplace mobile app. In addition, they can generate Shift summaries using AI Companion.

Shift group managers can create and manage shift groups from within the Zoom web portal.

How to view shift channel details
- Sign in to the Zoom for Workplace mobile app.
- Tap the Shifts tab.
- Tap Shift channel.
- Tap the desired shift channel.
The channel details will be displayed, including the channel name, as well as the date and time the channel is/was active. In addition, managers can tap the sections below for more information:
- Members: Displays all the members of the shift channel as well as members who have been designated as admins.
- Mention groups: Displays the mention groups assigned to the shift group.
- Task report: Will display the tasks associated with the shift group.
- Shift summary: Will generate and/or display the shift summary for the shift.
How to manage tasks as a shift group manager
- Sign in to the Zoom for Workplace mobile app.
- Tap the Shifts tab.
- Tap Shift channel.
- Tap the desired shift channel.
- On the Shift channel details page, tap Task report.
Tasks associated with the shift group will be displayed. - (Optional) Filter the task list by tapping one of the filter options:
- All (#): Displays all tasks associated with the shift group.
- Done (#): Displays all tasks associated with the shift group that have been completed.
- To do (#): Displays all tasks associated with the shift group that have not been started yet.
- In progress (#): Displays all tasks associated with the shift group that are currently in progress.
- (Optional) Tap the search bar to search for a specific task.
- Tap a task to view the task details. Learn more about managing tasks.
How to view Attendance records
Defined attendance exceptions
Attendance exceptions are punches that do not match the designated start and end times for shifts. The following are defined as attendance exceptions:
Attendance exception | Definition |
---|
Missed punch | Missed a punch, indicating they have started working. |
Missed out punch | Missed a punch, indicating they have stopped working. |
Late in | Punched into their shift after the designated start time. |
Early out | Punched out of their shift before the designated end time. |
Viewing attendance records
- Sign in to the Zoom for Workplace mobile app.
- Tap the Shifts tab.
- Tap Shift channel.
- Tap the desired shift channel.
- On the Shift channel details page, tap Attendance records.
All members of the shift channel will be displayed. If an attendance exception event has occurred, it will be displayed next to their name. - (Optional) Tap the search bar to search for a specific employee.
- (Optional) Click a shift state to filter the employee list:
- All (#): Displays all employees assigned to the shift channel.
- Regular (#): Displays all employees without an attendance exception.
- Exception (#): Displays all employees who had an attendance exception.
- (Optional) Tap the filter button to filter the employee list for specific attendance exceptions.
- Tap an employee’s name to view their punch record.
