Communicating with Zoom Workplace for Frontline
In addition to communicating via the Zoom Phone or Team Chat tabs, users can communicate with other workers from the Today tab within the Zoom for Workplace mobile app.
Requirements for communicating with Zoom Workplace for Frontline
- Zoom Workplace for Frontline license
- Zoom Workplace mobile app for Android or iOS: 6.4.5 or higher
How to communicate with pinned contacts
Chat
- Sign in to the Zoom for Workplace mobile app.
- Tap the Today tab.
- Under Shift contacts, tap the desired shift channel, mention group, or contact.
- Tap Chat.
- You will be taken directly to the channel within the Team Chat tab

Push to talk
Note: Push-to-talk is only supported for shift channels and shift sub-groups.
- Sign in to the Zoom for Workplace mobile app.
- Tap the Today tab.
- Under Shift contacts, tap the desired shift channel.
- Tap Push-to-talk.
- When prompted, click Connect.
- You will be connected to the push-to-talk channel.

How to reply or react to new messages
Quick reply to a thread
- Sign in to the Zoom for Workplace mobile app.
- Tap the Today tab.
- Under Notifications, find the desired thread.
- Tap Quick Reply to draft and send a message within that thread.
Note: You can click the channel name at the top of the window to view the channel within the Team Chat tab

- Sign in to the Zoom for Workplace mobile app.
- Tap the Today tab.
- Under Notifications, find the desired thread.
- Tap React.
- Tap the desired default emoji or tap the More button
for additional reaction options.
