Creating clips with AI Companion custom avatars

AI Companion custom avatars for Zoom Clips is an advanced feature designed to revolutionize digital content creation by enabling users to generate a personalized digital avatar that closely resembles their appearance and replicates their voice. By combining lifelike facial expressions, synchronized voice replication, and scalable production capabilities, this innovative tool enables authentic, engaging, and efficient communication.

Requirements for creating clips with AI Companion custom avatars

• Zoom Workplace Pro and higher, Zoom Meeting EDU, Zoom One Education, Healthcare new and Online BAA
• Clips enabled
• AI Companion custom avatars for Zoom Clips must be enabled
• Custom AI Companion add-on
• Zoom desktop app
  • Windows: 6.4.5 or higher
  • macOS: 6.4.5 or higher
  • Linux: 6.4.5 or higher

Limitation for creating clips with AI Companion custom avatars

• Clips generation for accounts without the Custom AI Companion add-on is limited to 3 minutes per user per month
• For users with a Custom AI Companion add-on, the avatar clip generation is limited to 6 minutes per user per month

How to create clips with AI Companion custom avatars

You can easily create clips with AI Companion custom avatars from your Zoom Workplace app or in the Web portal.

Using the Zoom Workplace app

1. Sign in to the Zoom desktop app
2. Click the Clips tab.
3. Click the Create with avatars card.
4. In the Customize your clip section then Avatar tab, click Get Started.
5. In the Create your avatar window, read and follow the on-screen prompts then click Continue.
6. Proceed with recording a video. You will be asked to perform specific gestures, read a code aloud, and read a provided script or speak in your own words aloud for 30 seconds to 2 minutes.
   Note: Once done, you can watch a preview of your footage.
7. (Optional) Click Record again to re-capture the footage.
8. Click Create avatar to complete creating your custom avatar based on the captured footage. Your created custom avatar will appear in the avatar library.
9. In the Customize your clip section then Avatar tab, select your preferred avatar.
10. (Optional) Click the Background tab then select an image to customize the avatar’s virtual background.
11. In the Enter your script to create your clip with AI Companion field, add your script.
    Note: You can use Zoom Docs to generate your script using AI Companion. Learn about generating content using AI Companion in Zoom Docs.
12. Click Create clip.
13. Click the Recent tab or My clips tab to view the generated clips.

Using the web portal

1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal.
2. In the navigation menu, click Clips.
3. Click the Create with avatars card.
4. In the Customize your clip section then Avatar tab, click Get Started.
5. In the Create your avatar window, read and follow the on-screen prompts then click Continue.
6. Proceed with recording a video. You will be asked to perform specific gestures, read a code aloud, and read a provided script or speak in your own words aloud for 30 seconds to 2 minutes.
