Subscribing to Zoom as a nonprofit organization
Zoom offers verified nonprofit organizations worldwide a discount on select Zoom products. For further details and to see if your nonprofit is eligible, please visit our Zoom Cares page.
To streamline the nonprofit application process, Zoom has partnered with Goodstack to provide Zoom subscription discounts to verified nonprofit organizations. Goodstack will verify your organization’s 501(c)(3) status and distribute the coupon that you can apply when purchasing or renewing a Zoom subscription.
Requirements for purchasing or renewing a Zoom subscription as a nonprofit organization
- 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization verified by Goodstack

- Applicant is a representative of their nonprofit organization
- You must be a new or existing Zoom customer with upcoming renewal
Note: Zoom customers with a direct quote from sales are not eligible.
How to purchase or renew a Zoom account for a nonprofit organization
To purchase Zoom products through the Zoom for Nonprofits program as a new or existing customer:
- Visit the Zoom Cares page.
- Under the Get 50% off select Zoom products section, choose your operating budget. If your operating budget is $10 million or less, you will be prompted to verify your organization’s nonprofit status.
- On the verification page, complete the following steps:
- Select the country or region where your organization is registered, then click Next.
- Look up or add the organization’s full legal name, then click Next.
- Enter your name as the representative of your organization, then click Next.
- Enter an official email address for your organization (this should be the email address used for your Zoom account), then click Next.
- Confirm that you are a representative of your organization, and review Goodstack’s terms and conditions and privacy policy.
- Select the check box to agree to the terms and conditions and privacy policy, then click Next.
Your application will be submitted to and reviewed by Goodstack for verification. You will receive an email from Goodstack within 2-3 business days with next steps.
Notes for existing Zoom customers:
- Paid Zoom account with existing discount from TechSoup or the Zoom for Nonprofits program: If you have a paid Zoom subscription with a discount from TechSoup or Goodstack, then the discount will apply for the following term. You already have a discount on the current term, and the new discount will apply at renewal.
- Paid Zoom account purchased online with no discount:
- If you have a paid annual subscription that you purchased through online checkout (no discount), then the coupon will apply immediately. It will cancel your original subscription and allows you to subscribe with the discount. Any paid amount remaining for the original subscription term will be credited to the new term.
- If you have a paid monthly subscription that you purchased through online checkout (no discount), you must change from a monthly to an annual billing cycle first.
- Paid Zoom account with existing marketing coupon applied: If you already have a discount from a Zoom marketing coupon applied on your account, you cannot switch to a nonprofit discount immediately. You must cancel your subscription and resubscribe.
- Paid Zoom account with a direct Sales quote: If you purchased a Zoom subscription with a direct Sales quote, you are not eligible for the Zoom for Nonprofits discount.

What are the organizational eligibility requirements?
The 50% nonprofit discount is available for organizations that meet the following criteria:
- Nonprofits and libraries only: Discount is available only to qualifying organizations with 501(c)(3) designation and to public libraries with a 501(c)(3) designation.
- Budget: Organizations with operating budgets of $10 million USD or less.
The following organizations are not eligible based on Zoom's program policies:
- Organization types:
- Education organizations including K-12 schools, higher education institutions, administrative offices and boards of education, and teaching hospitals affiliated with higher education institutions
- Healthcare organizations including public hospitals, private hospitals, specialty hospitals, hospital auxiliaries, HRSA/FQHC Health Centers and CMS Critical Access Hospitals, health clinics, hospice, nursing care, rehabilitation centers, health insurance, and group health plans
- Government agencies
- Other nonprofit designations such such as 501(c)(4) and 501(c)(6)
- Budget: Organizations with operating budgets greater than $10 million USD.
Are educational institutions eligible for nonprofit discounts?
Organizations such as K-12 schools and colleges are not eligible for the nonprofit discount. Zoom serves educational institutions through Zoom for Education.
If I have an existing TechSoup discount, what should I do?
Zoom previously partnered with TechSoup to provide nonprofit discounts. If your Zoom account is active and has a TechSoup discount, that discount is valid through the remainder of your current term. Prior to your renewal, you will receive an email notification reminding you about the expiring discount and to visit the Zoom Cares page to apply for the Zoom for Nonprofits discount, which will be verified through Goodstack.
What products are available with the nonprofit discount?
The following Zoom products and add-ons are available with the nonprofit discount for an annual subscription:
- Zoom Workplace Pro
- Zoom Workplace Business
- Large Meeting add-on, up to 1,000 participants
- Zoom Webinar, up to 5,000 attendees

Can I add additional licenses on the same base plan and receive the nonprofit discount?
Customers who have already applied the nonprofit coupon can upgrade their license count for their existing Zoom Workplace Pro or Business base plan only. When you upgrade, you will continue to get the discount if the upgrade happens and the coupon is active. You will not be able to upgrade from Workplace Pro to Workplace Business.
What should I do if I experience an issue with the nonprofit coupon code?

Can I receive a refund for previously incurred subscription costs once I prove eligibility as a nonprofit?
