Advance notice of deprecation of the Zoom Rooms Control System API (ZR CSAPI)

As part of our commitments to product quality and security, Zoom plans to deprecate the Zoom Rooms Control System API  (ZR CSAPI) for Windows- and Mac-based Zoom Rooms (the ZR CSAPI does not and never has functioned with Zoom Rooms Appliances). After April 2027, the ZR CSAPI will no longer be supported in Zoom Rooms.

How can I check if my Zoom Room is using the ZR CSAPI?

Customers may verify whether their Zoom Rooms are using ZR CSAPI in the Zoom admin portal:

  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal.
  2. Click Device Management then Device List .
  3. Change the filter All Zoom Device Types to  Zoom Rooms Control System .
  4. Review the list, making note of the Zoom Room Assignment .
  5. (Optional) click Export to export a list of devices (and assignments) to CSV for further processing.

Can I continue to use the Zoom Rooms Control System API for now?

The ZR CSAPI will continue to function for Zoom Rooms for Windows and Mac until the end of April 2027.

What should I do?

Zoom recommends examining Zoom Rooms that use a 3rd-party control system that uses the ZR CSAPI in your Zoom account, so you may plan for changes before April 2027. Contact your 3rd-party control system vendor for ZR CSAPI alternatives, or replace your 3rd-party control system with a new controller from the Zoom Rooms recommended hardware controllers list.  Zoom Rooms recommended hardware controllers are compatible with any Zoom Room (Windows, Mac or Appliance).
