As part of our commitments to product quality and security, Zoom plans to deprecate the Zoom Rooms Control System API (ZR CSAPI) for Windows- and Mac-based Zoom Rooms (the ZR CSAPI does not and never has functioned with Zoom Rooms Appliances). The Zoom Rooms 6.7.0 release, planned for December, 2025, will be the final release to support the ZR CSAPI. The Zoom Rooms 6.7.0 release will be supported for at least fifteen (15) months in accordance with the Zoom Quarterly Software Lifecycle Policy, and is forecast to reach end of support in May, 2027.
Customers may verify whether their Zoom Rooms are using ZR CSAPI in the Zoom admin portal:
The ZR CSAPI will continue to function for Zoom Rooms for Windows and Mac up to (and including) version 6.7.0, forecast to be released in December, 2025. However, should you upgrade past version 6.7.0, the ZR CSAPI will cease to function.
Zoom Rooms version 6.7.0, the planned final version offering support for ZR CSAPI, will eventually reach the end of support according to the Zoom Software Quarterly Lifecycle Policy. The forecast date for end of support is May 2027 (subject to change). After this date (subject to change), Zoom Rooms 6.7.0 will stop operating.
Zoom recommends examining Zoom Rooms that use a 3rd-party control system that uses the ZR CSAPI in your Zoom account, so you may plan for changes before ZR 6.7.0 reaches end of support. Contact your 3rd-party control system vendor for ZR CSAPI alternatives, or replace your 3rd-party control system with a new controller from the Zoom Rooms recommended hardware controllers list. Zoom Rooms recommended hardware controllers are compatible with any Zoom Room (Windows, Mac or Appliance).
